Sorry - I woulda done it today, but I basically slept through morning and half of the afternoon. Was coming home from vacation - me and a friend flew off the same airline and were both coming to Houston, but I went through Chicago and Jenny went through Dallas. Went to the airport at 8:00 AM (her flight was at 3:30, mine was at 4:00) I had a 2 hour layover in Chicago, and then the flight was delayed an hour still, so I didn't get in untill 11:00.

All rightie, this results show will be short because there's no bottom group this week. Each contestant recieved a 100% correct on their quizzes, and because of this, I sent out a tiebreaker question with a time limit. Amazingly, each contestant that turned in a response got the questions right. One person didn't turn in a tiebreaker, and unforetunately will be eliminated tonight.

Well, it's an unfortunate situation and I can understand why some people are mad. But I do think that this has been going on for way too long and I think what you did was fair. Someone had to go, even if it meant eliminating someone just like that.

BTW, did JT tell you that he (she?) was going away?

He specifically said that he'd be gone Monday from noon to midnight. Did you really expect him to wake up by 8AM to answer the quiz? He didn't get home from his field trip until past midnight. You should have made it be due tonight so that he would have had enough time to rest up from the long drive home instead of making it be due so early in the morning. Especially since he didn't KNOW it was due at 8am today since it was set AFTER he left.

JT thought that he was going to be gone from noon to midnight yesterday. JT didn't get home until 1am last night. JT fell asleep the second he hit his bed last night. JT woke up this morning at 7:50. JT read your PM somewhere between 9am and 10am this morning because JT wasn't going to deprive himself of sleep. JT saw that the tiebreaker was to be turned in before 8am this morning. JT said "screw it" and made himself some breakfast.

Your deadline was impossible for me to make and you knew it. You knew it. The only way I could have made that deadline was if I basically deprived myself of sleep. I wasn't going to turn on the computer, wait for it, then get online, wait for it, then come to SO. Especially if I had no fricken idea that there was going to be a some kind of tiebreaker.

If you cared about moving the game along, you wouldn't have waited several days to get 8 people online at the same time. That was a big waste of time.

Then what was the POINT of putting the deadline at 8AM IN THE FRICKEN MORNING? I distinctly said that I was going to be gone until at least midnight the night before. Would it have killed her to take a little time to figure, "Hmm, he's probably not going to be online until later on tomorrow, so I should make the deadline something like 11 or 12"?

If she would have told us from the very beginning that there was to be a tie breaker and that she was putting it up on Monday night, I would have made sure to let her know that I wouldn't be online until late morning of the next day, but she didn't say anything, so I anticipated nothing, so I said nothing other than I wouldn't be here Monday.

Honest to God, I don't give a damn anymore. I don't care about being in the game or not. I just want to know what the heck she was thinking when she set a deadline that I couldn't possibly have made.

I'd probably be a little peeved for a while and think it's unfair, but I wouldn't take it all out on the host and make a big stink over it. In the end, I wouldn't care. It's an online game after all. =/
