I just found out that WCIU-TV Chicago has withdrawn Star Trek: Enterprise from national syndication because of low ratings. I also found out that it's going to be sold to cable. I've narrowed the choices of which cable channel Star Trek: Enterprise will be broadcast on to three possibilities: The Sci-Fi Channel, USA Network and Spike TV. Which channel do you suppose Star Trek: Enterprise will be broadcast on sometime in the near future?

G4 doesn't have "all the other Star Trek series", not even close. In fact, effective Fall 06, Viacom, the parent company of TV Land and SpikeTV, will have the rights to air ALL the Trek series EXCEPT Enterprise. Spike airs TNG and DS9 now, and gains Voyager in the fall. TV Land gains rights to air TOS in September. It's possible, considering the cross ownership, TOS could eventually wind up on Spike itself, I do believe. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, Pav).

And this has been moved to the Star Trek board....

It would be nice if all of the Star Trek series were "under one roof" one day.

An all Trek channel perhaps. Then i could die happy.

Why not just have a Star Trek Channel?? I'm only half-kidding here. Between the five series and movies, they would have enough programming to fill 24 hours a day without having to resort to showing the same shows over and over again, like they do with most syndicated shows.

I foresee a day when because of the ever-growing need for cable and satellite channels, we may have the Law & Order Network, the CSI Channel, etc.

Why not, when you think about it??

Don't forget the Star Trek Animated Series!

Thanks! Forgot that one!

Yep, they've got enough hours of Star Trek-related shows to fill a schedule.

and, in the fall, TV LAND & G4 will both air TOS-they'll share the rights.

I have cable. Last night I watched Star Trek: Enterprise on the Sci-Fi channel, which I never watch, and since I don't watch this channel, I didn't know if it was something new, or had been on. Anyway, I'm glad about it, and enjoyed the episode. I also agree with TJL and others, that ST should have its own channel. Obviously not everyone's in to ST, but I always thought Gene Roddenberry's genius and 'humanity-based' (if you could call it that), brand of science fiction could be broadly appealing, in other words not just for sci-fi enthusiasts.

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE started airing on the Sci-Fi channel a couple weeks ago.
