I know about the cast changes that happened between season 1 and two and I know of them loosing Morisa Tomei & Denise but were they planning on getting rid of Dwayne & Whitley too? I was looking on TV.com and it says that the Dwayne and Whitley Characters appeared from 1-21 and the 23-so on, so how come they didn't star in 22? and there were two other people that only starred in that episode, were they supposed to replace them?

That was the original pilot of ADW. It was taped before the other shows and the production company just included it in the syndication package.

Ohh ok thanks for the info... thats weird to casue the second episode they played last night was called pilot and it had them in it so they must of had to episodes called pilot...

Yeah I think just Jaleesa, Denise, Theo, Rudy and Maggie were in that episode.

Episode 22 is "My dinner with Theo" Rudy was in the first part of the episode. When Denise calls home Rudy picks up the phone and she talks to Rudy for a bit.

Everyone else pretty much answered this question but the last few episodes of the first season were shot in the summer of 1987 but once production officially begins and contracts are signed, you sometimes notice obvious changes demanded either of the network and/or production company. Could you imagine this show with out Dwayne and Whitley?

Whitley was the best thing about season 1- a much more interesting presence even then than Denise. Dwayne was too dorky in year 1, Denise was too flaky to be the lead and there were way too many appearances by her relatives, although Theo's episode was one of the better ones.
