I've been to the Twin Cities a gazillion times, but unfortunately not as often as I'd like to. :( I was in Minneapolis earlier this year in March, but only when I had a layover to and from NYC. This was my first time ACTUALLY visiting Minneapolis this year. The last time I spent time in Minneapolis before that was in 2004, so I was overdue for a visit. (I have family there, including my siblings) I left for the Twin Cities on Monday and just got back tonight.
Anyway, while I was in the Twin Cities, I remembered to go scouting for the Mary Tyler Moore statue that is located in downtown Minneapolis. We found it with no problems -- I spotted her hat-clad hand right away. :D I was going to get pictures in the daytime, but nighttime was the only time I got to be in that part of Minneapolis.
I don't know how many people here have seen the MTM statue in person, so I figured I would post here, since it has to do with MTM and all. :D The statue is smaller than I pictured it, but it is pretty tall, with Mary Tyler Moore's statue standing on a pedstal and all. 'Twas pretty cool. If any of you are in Minneapolis, you should go look for it. It's really easy to locate- right on the corner of 7th and Nicolett, right in front of a gigantic Marshall Fields department store.
