I am desperate to find the name of a song that Potsy sang to Joanie on her 16th birthday. My step daughter is turning 16 and I really want to play that song at her party. I have looked on napster, but nothing comes up. I know I am not making the song up, because I just heard a glimpse of it tonight on Happy Days. If anyone know the correct title and author please email me ASAP so I might be able to include this in my step-daugther's birthday celebration.

I believe the song you are talking about is Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen. The original artist is Paul Anka I think, but Neil Sedaka also did a version of it..

Click here (http://member.aol.com/sedaka1/sixteen.htm) for the lyrics to Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen.

And click here (http://www.qbc.clic.net/~dany/beatles/cha_xx00/chansons/ys_rs.htm) for the lyrics to You're Sixteen.

And click here (http://www.frankkessler.de/lyr_artist_crests_the_sixteen_candles.html) for the lyrics to Sixteen Candles. Don't freak when you see the German text, just scroll down to the lyrics which are in English.

These are the three classic songs about the age "sixteen". The movie American Graffiti largely inspired Happy Days, and the soundtrack is still a hot selling CD. It has 41 mega-hits including Sixteen Candles by the Crests and You're Sixteen by Johnny Burnette. And Neil Sedaka did the original Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen.
