Both were incredibly bland, dull and boring. They both needed a personality transplant. They really weren't meant to be sitcom actresses. IMO

Jalessa was supposed to represent the older, nontraditional student and in many cases these type of students are usually more serious and focused due to their aging.

Kim, I think she started out as someone who wanted to fit in and remember in the second season, she had a pregnancy scare. I think they both added balance to the show. I would have hated to watch the show and everyone was acting goofy and carefree like the Saved by the Bell bunch did all the time.

I agree with you about Jalessa but Disagree about Kim. Did you see how she put Whitley in her place when they first met in season 2? Classic

I agree that Jaleesa needed to lighten up.

I disagree, both Jalessa and Kim weren't boring. If anyone was boring on that show it would be Whitley's shadow on the first season(Millie) and the preacher son getting all hot and bothered for Jada Pinkett-Smith's character.
