For those of you who don't know, Zara Cully was missing in several eps in the 3rd season and looked very frail and sick in season 4 because she suffered a collapse lung that led to her illness during the Fall of 1976. She is only seen I think Once in season 3 and when she returns it's clear she never recovered from the collaspe lung

Info found in the Jet Magazine, Feb 10, 1977

Yeah after that she really didn't bounce back because in season 4 she had lost alot of weight and looked very feeble.

Yeah by that time she was in the wheelchair. At that point they should have just not brought her back on the show because it was very obvious she was Ill and up in age.

How many episodes was she in during season 4 and during season 5 (if any that year)?

I forget exactly when her death fell and how it affected those seasons.

She died in Jan of 78 so she wasn't in season 5 at all. I think she was only seen 3 or 4 Times in season 4

I remember when she died and how sad it was to hear abt. Watching the Jeffersons, I didn't think it would be the same...but of course, the show bounced back.

I don't even remember when she died . I just noticed she stopped appearing. They should have had an episode dealing with her death instead of just a few references to it.

Her voice in the GRAND OPENING was not as loud, almost a loud whisper...she was also very thin...thinner than usual.

When was her final appearance?

and was her death ever mentioned? I know they didn't do an episode on it, just wondering.

They never had an episode that dealt with her death which I thought was BS.

The ep-"The Last Leaf" aired on Nov 12, 1977 was her last episode. They made references on the show throughout the years that she passed away. The first reference of her death on the show was at the start of Season 5-"Homecoming Part 1
