View Full Version : My Feelings about this Show after watching 37 episodes
TVFactFan 07-16-2006, 02:04 PM Well I watched 2 seasons of this Show and I will say that
1) I hate the Julie Character. She is Loud, Annoying, and disrespectful to her mother. way too dramatic and cranky to be a teenage girl.
2) I like the Barbara character because she is of course BEAUTIFUL, very pleasant and the complete opposite of her crazy sister.
3)Schneider is too much of a Goofball. He Barges in the Apt and always say something stupid.
4)I actually liked David and the show seemed a little different after he left
5)Ann had no control over Julie as the mother and when watching then they both seemed like Sisters more than Mother and Daughter. Just don't way she was so Disrespectful toward her mother
This show is still a C/C- in my opinion and doesn't seem entertaining enough to buy on DVD. Maybe this show took off in season 3 because so far I haven't notice any take off moments
Brian Damage 07-16-2006, 02:11 PM I hated the Julie character too, but she to me was a "Real" teenager.
I would give the show a solid B overall

The only B moments I saw were when Julie was working in the Diner and when Ann was dancing with Julie's Date
Brian Damage 07-16-2006, 02:25 PM That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. Seasons 1 & 2 weren't as strong as some of the other seasons, because some became so repetitive with Ann being a single mom and moving away from Logan's Port.

I think I'm watching the WORST ep of the First Two Seasons right now. It's no Ann or Schneider n this ep, just Barbara and Julie for the entire 30 min talking to each other in the living Room-lol

For some reason, I don't recall that episode. lol

Actually Ann appeared at the end, ON THE PHONE like Chrissy on Three's Company but never was in the same scene with the girls
NancyEiE 07-16-2006, 04:26 PM You see that's where we differ. I think I would enjoy watching an ep that doesn't have Ann in it. Just the sisters talking and bonding. They did bond right not just argue?

Yes they bonded and Ann was just in a Phone Scene at the End of the Episode.
NancyEiE 07-16-2006, 05:57 PM Then I want to see that one, if you don't want that episode I would be more than happy to take that off your hands. :-)

I plan to keep it because it's apart of the 2nd season I was just saying it was kind of Dry
NancyEiE 07-16-2006, 07:21 PM Shucks, oh well I understand.

Ireneparalegal 07-16-2006, 08:48 PM You've never been a teenage girl, so obviously you wouldn't know how one can be just like Julie. My best friend behaved just like Julie...she was loud, abrasive, disrespectful to her mother and waaaaay dramatic, causing unnecessary drama. I noticed this started to occur abt a year after her father was involved in an accident and he was left in a vegative state. So, with daddy out of the picture, it left mom and daughter. Julie behaving the way she did may be a bit too much for some to handle or to watch, but it is reality.

catlover79 06-24-2007, 09:34 PM I checked Season 1 out of the library - I'd never seen it before. Some of it was fun to watch (esp. Richard Masur as David Kane), but Schneider was way too annoying. I don't like it enough to buy it. Julie had one of the worst dates I could imagine - he fell for her MOM!!!
