Any thoughts?
I can't think of any this moment but was wondering what everyone else thinks.

View Full Version : Worst Brady Bunch Episodes.... Billy K. 07-13-2006, 12:37 PM Any thoughts? I can't think of any this moment but was wondering what everyone else thinks. clj2 07-13-2006, 12:40 PM Kelly's Kids and any other episode with Oliver.. TVFactFan 07-13-2006, 01:07 PM The one when Bobby was a POOL Star-lol Jack1000 07-13-2006, 01:35 PM My votes, You're Never Too Old: Carol and Mike dressed up as...........GRANDPARENTS??!!!! Haven't watched it in 15 years despite owning all the series on DVD and never will And Now A Word From Our Sponsor: Whole episode is sheer overacting. Hated of Skip Farnum is very strong! Content is artifical, corney, and stupid! Jack Billy K. 07-13-2006, 02:44 PM Now you have my brain going....if I had to pick right now they would be: 1) The Snooperstar 2) Out of This World 3) Kelly Kids 4) You're Never Too Old 5) Alice's September Song scott_bolger2001 07-13-2006, 10:29 PM A camping we will go....that episode was so pointless.... BuddyHinton 07-14-2006, 11:19 PM The Snow White Episode is HORRENDOUS. How did Robert Reed agree to that one? falc04 07-15-2006, 10:37 AM 'Kellys Kids' was pretty bad, but 'Your Never Too Old' had to be the worst. dbcoopercatcher 07-15-2006, 11:39 AM Loved the show. But, any episode in which an actor played dual roles, made me turn the station. For example, Alice playing her cousin the drill instructor, Peter playing a dual role as a kid from school who looks like him but wears glasses, and of course, Mike and Carol playing their own grandparents. Whomever wrote these episodes should have been fired. but, I guess they ran out of ideas. db They should have had me on an episode. LOL gilligan fanatic 07-15-2006, 11:54 AM The one when Bobby was a POOL Star-lol I like that one just because Jim Backus is in it. I agree with Buddy Hinton, I can't stand the snow white episode. I also don't like the one where Cindy tries to be Shirley Temple. She was way to old to be doing that. BuddyHinton 07-15-2006, 01:02 PM "I also don't like the one where Cindy tries to be Shirley Temple. She was way to old to be doing that." Not to mention Shirley Temple should have no relavence to children of the 60's -70's making the whole script unbelieveable. I also liked the pool shark one b/c Bobby is so pompous:) I'm on season 5 and the 3rd episode is the snow white one; I just skipped it. In general I typically do not like shows where the cast is out of their "element". Plus I hate it when the costumes; etc are WAAAY too good for an "at home" or "at school" play, you can easily see these were all furnished by Hollywood and it totally loses any believability (the Thanksgiving ep. was better for this). Plus Sam is embarrassing. The Flying Dutchmans 07-15-2006, 03:08 PM I hated a few of them, I did not like the one where they are picked to do a commercial for laundry soap, and the 2 that Falc04 mentioned. PrettyinPink55 07-16-2006, 01:55 AM I didn't like the one where the grandparents came to visit. I never got into that one. James 07-16-2006, 02:28 PM Here is my "worst list": #39 "Tell It Like It Is": Carol writing for the magazine "Tomorrow's Woman"; I did not like how they wrote in the Buddy Hinton beat up Peter because I thought he learned his lesson in "A Fistful of Reasons." Then they had Carol resubmit the original article, which they rejected at first. It angered me that they made that decision when they found out the Bradys were a weird bunch. #46 "The Winner": I HATED all the suspense Kartoon King put us through before the ice cream eating contest!!!   Why wasn't all that cut from the TVLand version instead of the infamous "car swap"? Then again, I hate suspense in general. #93 "You're Never Too Old": I hate it for the reasons other posters have already listed. #94 "A Room at the Top": I hated the drama that resulted from Mike and Carol both thinking that their eldest child had no competition for the attic. #101 "Getting Greg's Goat": I didn't like the "misunderstandings" and comparisons to what I thought was a really, really bad show, as well as Greg being a "bad guy." #108 "The Driver's Seat": I thought that the line about picturing the audience ... be that as it may, this was a family show and inappropriate. #111 "Two Petes in a Pod": See "You're Never Too Old". #116 "The Hare-Brained Scheme": My main fault was Oliver's line to the effect of "Parents aren't interested in talking about ..." and I'll leave the last word out so no one will be offended. Also, I could have done without the very lame drama of the boys getting lost in the "Tiki Caves" in Hawaii, Bobby and Cindy getting lost at the Grand Canyon, or Mike accidentally getting Jan's Yogi Bear poster at King's Island. Why didn't they just have the family plainly and simply having fun? I have never had such "rude interruptions" to any of my vacations; I've gotten sick a time or two, but what transpired on The Brady Bunch was ridiculous. The Brady Bunch was a comedy, not a drama!!! passionsfan79 07-16-2006, 04:28 PM Hmm for me Kelly Kids,And where Marcia trys to join the boys scout,And where the Grandparents came to visit it was an okay episode but not my favorite. nerrad 07-17-2006, 10:18 AM The Kelly Kids, Grandparents episode, Snow White Tweety 07-21-2006, 11:45 PM Says here that everyone pretty much hit the nails on the head! The Grandparents episode (of all the sitcoms I like, past and present, and there are a lot of them, this might be the single worst episode ever produced) Snow White and the Seven Bradys (wow, unwatchable...bet that teacher's sorry she retired, having to sit through that crap...probably made her long for a quick death) Kelly's Kids (I thought this show was supposed to be about the Bradys) Cindy / Shirley Temple ("I've got to start being Shirley Temple RIGHT AWAY!!") The Hair Brained Scheme (Oliver's line was "...I think your mother has a problem discussing s**). Also, what kids magazine would have a contest to sell HAIR TONIC?? OKCRay 07-22-2006, 02:25 AM The one that hasn't been mentioned yet that I absolutely cannot stand is "Love and the Older Man", where Marcia has a crush on dentist Dr. Vogel and mistakes a babysitting request for his being interested in her. Stupid plot, idiotic dream sequences, man this episode STUNK!!!!! I've noticed a bit of a parallel here with all the folks who listed KELLY'S KIDS as their least favorite; it's comparable with most GOLDEN GIRLS fans listing the EMPTY NEST episode (featuring Rita Moreno) as their least favorite. Aside from greater emphasis placed on outside characters and the main series cast featured briefly in limited supporting roles, I really didn't feel either of these shows were as bad as everyone makes them out to be (the GOLDEN GIRLS example was actually tweaked a little bit and eventually became the series EMPTY NEST). 71dude 07-25-2006, 10:45 PM Alice's September Song You're Never Too Old Tell It Like It Is Double Parked The Hustler Out of This World Peter at the bike shop Bobby and Oliver think Sam is a Russian spy Waterston_Fan 07-25-2006, 11:06 PM I think Love and the Older man was stupid... stupid plot, stupid misunderstanding, stupid parents.. snl 70s show fan 07-26-2006, 01:59 AM and now a word from our sponsor snow white and the 7 bradys double parked and your never too old are my picks for the worst brady eps sixfingers 03-12-2010, 02:02 AM I think Love and the Older man was stupid... stupid plot, stupid misunderstanding, stupid parents.. Yeah, it was dumb, but it had its funny moments too! sixfingers 03-12-2010, 02:03 AM and now a word from our sponsor snow white and the 7 bradys double parked and your never too old are my picks for the worst brady eps I thought it was sweet of them to pay homage to their on set teacher! :) sixfingers 03-12-2010, 02:06 AM ... I thought they should have gone forward with Kelly's Kids the series. Too bad they didn't. :( sixfingers 03-12-2010, 02:13 AM Says here that everyone pretty much hit the nails on the head! ... Cindy / Shirley Temple ("I've got to start being Shirley Temple RIGHT AWAY!!") ... That script was actually written for her when she was 7 and just didn't work with a 12 year old. Shirley Temple's own career was headed south when she was 12. :( That was Susan Olsen's least favorite episode, she really hated it! Still, some fans say it is their favorite  One actually had the gall to tell Susan Olsen that during an interview! sixfingers 03-12-2010, 02:20 AM Kelly's Kids and any other episode with Oliver.. When I was a kid Top Secret was one of my favorites. For some reason, it was often the last episode shown in syndication (in Sacramento) before they started over from the beginning. Speaking of the last episode, you Oliver haters must eally regret that the last two lines of Brady Bunch were uttered by Oliver Himself. "Me, Cousin Oliver" and "Just a suggestion!" 1960'sTVfan 03-13-2010, 11:50 AM My votes, You're Never Too Old: Carol and Mike dressed up as...........GRANDPARENTS??!!!! Haven't watched it in 15 years despite owning all the series on DVD and never will And Now A Word From Our Sponsor: Whole episode is sheer overacting. Hated of Skip Farnum is very strong! Content is artifical, corney, and stupid! Jack I'll agree about You're Never Too Old, but I think A Word From Our Sponsor is a pretty good episode. Paul Winchell is funny as the commercial guy, and I like how Mike and Carol ham it up when they try to film their part of the commercial. That part is always good for a laugh. On the subject of worst episodes, I haven't found too many but one I would put in that category is Sargent Emma. Not a very funny episode, Ann B. Davis is inconvincing as the military style housekeeper. |
