- Series creator Rob Thomas is said to be looking to add Michael Muhney (Sheriff Lamb) and Tina Majorino (Mac) as series regulars next season. Kyle Gallner (Beaver), Teddy Dunn (Duncan), and Tessa Thompson (Jackie) will be gone.
- Veronica will be attending Hearst College.
- We imagine that Charisma Carpenter (Kendall) will be back in some sort of a recurring role.
- It sounds like the season will be split up into three separate mysteries rather than one season-long arc.

I'm glad that they're making Mac a regular character. Veronica and her make a good team.

Aaron Echolls– a known statutory rapist, and suspected murderer – was released from prison, and suddenly killed. Veronica discovered that her best friend Mac’s boyfriend, Cassidy, had raped her a year previous. Not only that, but he had been responsible for the season-spanning mystery: a deadly bus crash, staged to prevent a slew of students from reporting Cassidy’s molestation at the hands of Mayor Goodman. After Cassidy’s admittance to his crimes, and subsequent suicide, that Veronica and Logan were finally able to be back in each other’s arms.........The Season premiere, “Welcome Wagon” will have Veronica entering college, along with Logan, best friends Mac, and Wallace, and Cassidy’s grieving older brother, Dick. New characters will be introduced, and new relationships will be formed, as Veronica attempts to move on from the devastating happenings of last year, and win over the college crowd.
