Bookman when James had his fix-it business in the Apt? It was James, Florida, Michael, and J.J in the APT at the time so if someone was knocking on the door who else would it be besides BOOKMAN????-lol Especially when Thelma or Willona wouldn;t be knocking on the door. It just seems like they would have covered everything up before J.J answered the door

Being paranoid, they should have been careful no matter what. It could have been Wanda or another of the neighbors, the kids' friends, etc.

Also, the stuff that was waiting to be fixed and all the other stuff, should have been in the bedroom, not out in the open like that. The only thing out should be the item James was fixing and his tools.

I was thinking that too. Those appliances should've been in the bedroom.

Also, these were the projects, why the heck weren't there any peep holes?

The door wasn't locked
it was one of the rare times when Bookman actually knocked...usually he just walked right in like he owned the damn apartment.

He knocked on the door in "The Hustle" episode.

The door wasn't locked

Which was stupid considering they had something to hide.

It's stupid for a maintenance man to be barging in on a family...that kinda crap can get your ass canned or shot!

It must have been, because Willona sure made her way in everyday.
