Luckymama58 07-13-2006, 11:09 AM I have been watching I love the 70's volume 2 on VH1 all this week and they had 1974 last night and they did a spot on Chico and the Man! I was so excited. It was a really good segment. It should be on again today. They have been re running them the next day. I think it will be on at 6pm edst if you are on the east coast. Check vh1.com for sure. It is worth it. It came on in the first half, toward the middle of the show.

I Love the 70's Vol 2: 1974 (http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/i_love_the_70s_volume_2/94340/episode.jhtml)
Prince 07-13-2006, 08:58 PM I just happened to turn the channel to VH1 and there he was in all his beautiful glory. It was a nice segment...must have been the karma because my timing was perfect. Freddie never looked better...and hooray for the tight pants.
Karen64 07-13-2006, 10:40 PM Was so glad to see it! That was so cool! Though I didn't like that one guy's comment about the character Chico being an "illegal alien" (Chico mentioned in the pilot that he was born in this country)
Oh, well...long live the 70's!!
Cheryl Harrell 07-14-2006, 04:44 AM Darn I missed this. I've seen it before tho. It would've been nice to see it again... :)
Luckymama58 07-14-2006, 10:21 AM This is the newest installment of the VH1 "I Love" series. They should be showing them all today, starting at noon. That is the way they work these. They have been showing the two new years at 8 and 9 every night, but reshow the others leading up to them. I am enjoying them very much.
I was in Jr Hi, HS and College during the 70's, graduating from HS in 1976 and college in 1980. I know some of the youngsters who are commenting on these shows don't get some of the stuff. I don't get many of fads of today. This has been a nostalgic trip down the path of my youth. I enjoy all of the VH1 "I Love" series, but the 70's are especially enjoyable for me. I am glad that they decided to do a piece on CATM on their vol 2. I was disappointed when they didn't mention it on the first installment, but was glad Freddie was mentioned at least under the hunks of 1974. And I am glad that most of the comments were positive. And I totally agree with the last comment, they don't make shows like this anymore....IMHO
Thanks again VH1! :D
Cheryl Harrell 07-15-2006, 05:11 AM Thanks for the info. I had no idea these were ne programs... :)

I taped the first "I Love the 70's" but I didn't have any blank tapes around the house for this one. :( If it comes on again, and it might, I will try to be better prepared.
thank you that would be great, PAX VH1 i gotta call my cable company
Luckymama58 07-15-2006, 10:19 AM BTW For those who want to know:I Love The 70's vol 2 schedule (http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/i_love_the_70s_volume_2/series_showtimes.jhtml)
hillbilly 07-16-2006, 03:34 PM I just got thru watching I love the 70`s.I thought they might show Chico and the man.I thought it was good.Yeah, our Freddie back on tv....
Pitooey 07-18-2006, 09:36 PM I saw it and I loved Freddie when he walked into the garage and his hair was flowing.
I liked seeing Ed again too.
I'm enjoying the 70's portion. I love seeing all the stuff from the 70's. I do crack up at the comments of the people. like Louis Guzman and the others. I laughed when they had Al Pacino, the hustle, psychadelic stuff that I remember well back then. Malibu Barbi, all the 70's stuff.
Most of all I enjoyed seeing Freddie Sr. the father of Freddie Jr. ;)
Karen64 07-18-2006, 10:56 PM A little off topic, but I don't remember alot of the movies they featured--The racier movies like "Hair" or "Dog Day Afternoon" I'd never seen! I guess I was kinda sheltered when I was a kid! And that gross guy who did the bit on "porn or not porn", I could have totally done without! puke:
But I do remember Leif Garrett, Andy Gibb, the cheesy commercials and I even had a "Merlin" when I was a kid! I especially remember Freddie! Loooooking Good!!
Luckymama58 07-19-2006, 10:13 AM There were a lot of regular features I could have done without on this installment, like the Farah hair, Burt Reynolds mustache and Charo! And I agree, the porn or not porn was way over the top for me.
