This scan is from a book called, "Extreme Weather."

It shows the towns which have had a record high of 125 degrees or more.

Note the highest is 134, recorded in 1913, at Death Valley, Calif. followed by a 130 degree reading at Amos (Calif.) in 1887 and 129 at Volcano, Calif.

The record high in Arizona is 128 at Lake Havasu City and in Nevada 125 at Laughlin.
