Do you get to pick for the whole night or just those shows listed? Not that it matters, because at the rate they show their shows, you favorite episode is bound to air three times every month, lol.

I see N@N is already planning marathons for it's "Safe" pick-up. By "Safe" I mean, they have the successful Cosby Show, so of course the spin-off will do great. Which it probably will. It's just that the more daring of the two recent pick-ups (ADW and NR) is already at 4 in the morning with no stunts planned. And the Summer marathons isn't a stunt, because it's done every year, but even then NewsRadio gets the 2-6 timelsot.

This is not NewsRadio as a show versus A Different World as a show. It's just a post of mine upset at N@N. :)

Just those shows listed. They will air in their regular slots. One lucky viewer will get to choose the episodes. That's all.

Just those shows listed.

Exactly...N@N's too scared to risk questionable ratings if their contest winner were to program the slots with, say, *gasp* Murphy Brown and NewsRadio

Makes good business sense, but sucks from a viewer's aspects.

Right. And as a viewer, I'm always in the minority. Most of the shows I like are underrated and treated like crap. I got all excited when "Wings" came to N@N. We all know how that turned out. So, I have a little resentment over all the popular shows on N@N now. Maybe it's because when a show does well on N@N, they tend to get marathons often, and in a couple cases, aired all night for a week (Roseanne, I believe they aired nothing else for a week). If a show doesn't get GREAT ratings, it's hidden in a late late timeslot. And replaced with one of the two Go-To shows, Roseanne or Fresh Prince.

I got all excited thinking N@N would have a week-long introductory marathon for "NewsRadio" like they did for every other show that's come on in recent years. They're planning stunts for "A Different World". Would it kill them to make a stunt for "NewsRadio"? Or even put it on at a decent time? Not too early. But would Midnight be too much?

At least they say VERY nice things about "NewsRadio" on the N@N website. So I think they like the show. Maybe they're just afraid it won't be successful or something because it's not a Cosby Show spin-off.

Geez, they are pushing A Different World to the limit.

And its not really shocking how you can only select those few. Just by how many times theyve aired it, we know Roseanne and Fresh Prince are the breadwinners at Nick at Nite. I'd like to see more Full House and Murphy Brown, but they'll probally be phased out soon. At least we get enough on ABC Family when it comes to Full House..

At least there won't be anymore Jeff Foxworthy..

N@N sucks!!!! The whole purpose of N@N was to show vintage TV shows, not shows that I could catch on 4 OTHER NETWORKS. I know NEWSRADIO is not one of them, but seriously: haven't we seen enough of Roseanne, Fresh Prince and Cosby from everywhere else? Even A DIFFERENT WORLD and FULL HOUSE(why that show is still on amazes me) can be seen on various other networks. I'd like to be able to catch some shows that I don't see that often anymore.

ADAMANTIUM hit the nail on the head. WINGS was a great show, but they treated it like crap. And don't get me started on how they treated Perfect Strangers & Head of the Class.

What really sucks is that you can't voice you opinions to these people(unless something has changed). Can anyone leave feedback on their website? Can anyone conatct them through e-mail?

Okay, there's my rant. Let me know what I left out.

Thanks,
Jon

Hey Pavan, how are A Different World and NewsRadio doing for NIckatNIte so far? I'm sure Different World's doing fine, just because its a Cosby spinoff.

Full HOuse is still airing cuase it gets good ratings. And only 4 seasons are on DVD (4th actually comes out this week). It'll be 2-3 years before the whole set of Full House is out on DVD. Lets see - they still are overairing Roseanne and Fresh Prince of Bel Air, while Full House gets one episode and episodes are skippped over constantly cause they are Valentines Day or Halloween or Christmas.........why can't they just air the episodes in order?

I think the schedule should be more fair. How about airing only 2 TOTAL roseanne and fresh prince a day (no repeating at 2 AM) and air the Muppet Show or something? I'd love to see that back on television!

Wow, Newsradio must have really bombed - I thought the point of a soft launch was to take the pressure off it but they yank it anyways. That's too bad - at least Mad About You is back to everynight

Full House will replace the previously scheduled Jeffersons on Friday nights 12-4AM in September. So, The Jeffersons & Three's Company marathons on Nick@Nite are just for the summer marathons. They start tonight if anyone is wondering (Three's Company Thursdays 2-5:30AM and Jeffersons Fridays 10pm-2am).

im surprised that Full House is only on in the wee hours now. then again, doesnt the contract expire next year? i guess they're slowly phasing it out until they completely take it off.

Can you giva us a time table as to when to expect The october schedule, Pav? I'm really interested to see if they will finally get rid of these damn marathons plus I wanna see how they schedule DW...

Pavan

Entire October is TBD. I guess they haven't released it yet. They usually release a month about 6-8 weeks before, so they are behind schedule.

Wow! I'm surprised Full House was shoved to 5am. Has it been declining in the ratings? I know at one time, the show was doing well for N@N. Guess it aged there.

i just don't get why the Cosby Show is gonna be on at 10:30, only like an hour after it'll be on TVLAND. Can you say overkill?

BTW, I like that they are having marathons every night.

No No No guys, i signed up here just to tell you the real story.

They are just putting it out of the general time slot for now, but it will be back bigger then ever, after the Jeffersons. They are bringing Full House back to Friday nights, for 4 hours straight. PAVANBADAL ALREADY STATED HERE \/.

Full House will replace the previously scheduled Jeffersons on Friday nights 12-4AM in September. So, The Jeffersons & Three's Company marathons on Nick@Nite are just for the summer marathons. Im so glad it wasnt for good, i was really worried. Theres nothing better then sitting down with my 4 year old and 2 year old. They just LOVE Full House, and its one of the only shows left where i can actually watch with them and not be embarassed for what they just saw.

And what can i say, i used to watch it when i was growing up on the TGIF lineup, those were good days for me, and would like my kids to grow up with atleast ONE wholesome family show. I had tons when i was a kid, hell, thats all sitcoms were back then (family based).

No matter how cheesy the show is for adults, its just amazing at how much kids respond to it and really love it. And its great with manners, etc... Its nice being able to watch the same show with my kids and not have it be some looney tunes type deal, but also something i find entertaining. Its more for kids, but can throw in some adult humor at times.

FULL HOUSE LIVES ON :p

I am also happy that Full House is returning to a decent time slot. My 7 year old niece loves to watch my DVDs with me and its one of the few shows that's not filled with 99% adult material that she can watch.

Full house is back?! Jesus, I love Fresh Prince but Fresh Prince ALL sunday plus two nights of Roseanne marathons? Give me a freaking break! I'm so sick of Full House, Fresh Prince, and Roseanne! They need to bring back The Facts of Life and add My Sister Sam. FH,FP,and Roseanne aren't even old enough to be considered a classic!

They need to air Who's the Boss, The Muppet Show and some random classic show from the 1950s or 1960s.

Roseanne doesn't belong on Nick.

Think about this: once these shows have all their seasons out on DVD, maybe the syndication rights will end and Nick @ Nite can show other shows.

Thank you!!!! That's the same thing I was thinking. With Roseanne, Fresh Prince, and Full House cranking out DVD's they need to be released from Nick at Nite.

A lot of those shows on Nick at Nite don't belong except for Cosby Show because that show is so old. I don't consider crap I used to watch in Junior High and in High school, classic T.V(I graduated in 1998). If anything it's the stuff I watched in my early elementary days classic(Punky, Cosby, Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life...)

Hello Sitcom Board
A Different World has been my favorite tv show for a long time I like when she tells Dwayne that she's pregnant but I hated tjat that they didn't make her pregnancy an Integral Storyline... Speaking of shows Run Houston Justine Simmons lost her baby girl it was born with her organs outside of her body
