All 4 of those things are EXTREMELY good if you are eating them inside Six Flags but if you are eating them in your living room its not the same-lol

BTW: Never buy Funnel Cake at the SuperMarket-LOL

I agree that stuff always tastes goos at amusement parks. Have you ever had Elephant Ears? Those are my favorite snack to get at amusement parks and carnivals. They are so good but I bought one at a bakery one time and it was nasty. It's better to get them fresh right at the park.

Cotton Candy has always been nasty at an amusement park

I don't go to many amusement parks because I HATE rides. However, in NYC, at the the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy, the sausage and peppers sandwhich is out of this world. Whenever I get that sandwhich anywhere else, it is not nearly as good.

The food in amusement parks better taste good, for the amount of money you pay for them!!!:p:D

The big turkey legs at the Disney parks is one of their most popular food items. I bet you can't get them that good tasting anywhere outside the parks.

Pizza always tastes good to me! Same with french fries!

It's probably the environment that can make a difference, even in how it tastes! I think it's psychological.

I love soft pretzels and French fries at the amusement park or ball park, but I can't stand the frozen ones from the store. They just don't taste the same.

I think they're a puff pastry, and they're shaped to look like elephant ears. That's what I always thought they were.

OMGoodness Brian you are so right! I always go to St. Genarros and eat the sausage and peppers and the Canollis... I never leave without a canolli.

I've never seen those at the amusement parks but I know what you're talking about. I called those the Butterflies. I always see them at the bakeries.

One thing that does not taste good outside the amusement park is the candied apples.

The candied apples in Coney Island were the best.

Try lobsters from Maine. They only taste good if they're consumed in Maine. If you consume Maine Lobster anywhere else, it just doesn't taste the same.:(

I think it's because at the Parks they're fresh and the ones you buy in the store has been frozen for lord knows how long.

I can make some badass Funnel Cakes.

Haha....well, at least I satisfied my sweet craving. A few minutes after I posted in this thread, my mom calls me to pick her up from work. She works at Taco Bell, and she asked if I wanted anything. I told her to bring me a carmel apple empanada. I just devoured it with a mug of cold milk.... The closest thing I got to a funnel cake...for now! :D

they don't sell it in the supermarket. Thats the point. Funnel Cake around here is a annual thing (unless you make it yourself) You wait for the fairs to come around and you get some there.

Yeah, they are tasty. It's funny how I normally don't eat these, but I got the craving thanks to this thread talking about the funnel cake. I usually eat the funnel cakes at our State Fair in early September, so it's coming around the corner! Yay! :D

what are elephant ears?

They are deep fried pastries about 10/12 inches in diameter. They are covered in melted butter, cinnemon and sugar. You can also get them with fruit on top but i prefer the cinnemon ones.

Pizza and French Fries are good anywhere.

I wanna attempt to make my own funnel cake at home. Last carnival I was at the funnel cakes were $5. Ridiculous.

Things taste better at the fair and amusement park because their frying oil is the more overused you can find .
