In this episode, the Governor is singing the same song that the Doctor who Jack and Janet thought was crazy was singing in season 6 of Three's Company. That song that goes-

"Diddlmum Waddlum, Chew."

Note: this thread is only for those who like Benson and Three's Company

I just realized another episode that TOTALLY reminded me of Three's Company was the episode where Benson's girlfriend wants to meet up with an old male friend and Benson hides in the restaurant in the booth next to them to spy on her. That whole restaurant/hiding/spying thing encompasses a few TC episodes right there. Plus, did anyone else notice just how many special guest stars appeared on both shows? I am going to have to make a list one of these days! Anyway, things like these are why I think a lot of TC fans would like Benson. :D

Down in the meadow in a
little bitty pool
Swam three little fishies
And a mama fishie too
"Swim," said the mama fishie,
"Swim if you can."
And they swam and they swam all
over the dam

Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
And they swam and they swam
right over the dam

"Stop!" cried the mama fish,
"Or you will get lost."
But the three little fishies
didn’t want to be bossed
The three little fishies
went off on a spree,
And they swam and
they swam right out
to the sea

Boop boop diten datem
Whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
And they swam and they swam
And they got lost in the sea

"Help!" cried the fishies,
"Look at the whale."
And quick as they could,
They turned on their tails
And back to the itty bitty
pool they swam
And they swam and
they swam
Back over the dam

Boop boop diten datem
whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem
whatem choo
Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
And they swam and they swam
Right over the dam

Boop boop diten datem whatem choo
And they swam and they swam
right over the dam

It was. A long long time ago

>>>The song was a US No. 1 hit for Kay Kyser and his band in 1939.<<<

I guess sitcom writers find it funny.

It’s in the one where the 2 grandmas fight for Barbara’s love. The 2 grandmas and Schneider sing it at the end.

I laughed at one of my old posts saying I was going to ask for it in Tower Records:lol:

And now they don’t have stores anymore. Only sell online.
