It involves Barney pretending he understands what a bird is saying "Gee, I'm feeling fine...." is a line in it.

Barney is mimicking what the bird is saying in a shrill (and hilarious voice). Hope someone tells me, it's kinda driving me crazy!

Thank YOU! It must have been an episode I skipped:( there have only been a couple I thought I DIDN'T like or want to see again...... but I definitely missed that, unless it was edited out! Barney was excellant pretending to interpret what the bird was saying!!!

I think it's #96, the first ep from season 4. Opie accidentally kills the mother of 3 baby birds so he raises them himself and names them Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

the episode's called "Opie the Birdman" & I think it's Ron Howards favorite.

I've heard him in interviews a couple times, tell about an incident that happened to him during filming of that. They were getting ready to film a scene where he had to react to something, and before they started, he tapped the director on the leg, & said "EXUSE ME"! When the director turned around and said "What is it"? he said "I don't think a real kid would react that way". The director knelt down and said "OK. Suppose you tell me how he would react"? So, he told him, and they did the scene that way. Afterwards, he said to Andy "You know, that was the first time an adult ever listened to me"!

Thanks guys:) Yea, I skipped an Opie ep here and there and that was the one. Sometimes they get a bit too sentimental for my tastes when I just want to laugh, but they are always good/great.
