Everybody thinks I'm a freak. I don't want to eat slimy things. :barf: Of course...I used to love seafood as a kid. But then I got really bad food poisoning after I ate some bad shrimp 13 years ago and I haven't been able to eat seafood since then. Ew. Courtnee 07-05-2006, 01:15 AM I like it every once in a while, but too much makes me barf. jowins 07-05-2006, 01:32 AM I love seafood! KristinHerreraFan 07-05-2006, 01:47 AM this was suppose to be in the random board, why was it moved here? Chelsea 07-05-2006, 01:51 AM I'm not even the one who moved it and I've got a reasonble idea why - this is an actual legitimate thread now, as opposed to say (looking near the top of the board) "I'm outta Ketchup!" or any of the various Smurftractor threads. This is an actual discussion subject, as such, it got moved. And NO ONE likes crabs... moeee 07-05-2006, 03:45 AM Seafood is fair to me, ill eat shrimp every now and then but not much. Superstar 07-05-2006, 04:02 AM I refuse to eat anything that comes out of the sea. They actually make me feel physically sick. Chelsea 07-05-2006, 04:40 AM To actually answer the question...I've got a thing for clams. (partticularly in chowder form). Also like most kinds of fish. Lobster's ok. HATE shrimp. KristinHerreraFan 07-05-2006, 05:07 AM I refuse to eat anything that comes out of the sea. They actually make me feel physically sick. :yeahthat   AY-MEN!!! Yooch 07-05-2006, 05:50 AM For me it's all in the preparation--and to an extent, which seafood. I wouldn't touch octopus or eel. But give me some fried shrimp or prawns in batter, or some lobster tails, and calamari cooked just right--I'm ok. I've not always gone for the healthier choices, but to me they taste better. LuLu Rogers 07-05-2006, 02:08 PM I like fish, lobster, clams, scallops, oysters, calamari, shrimp and CRAB is my fav!!! The base was stationed near Alexandria bay, which is really in Canadian waters. On the weekend 3 of us went fishing and among other items caught about 7 fresh water eels, much bigger then the salt water ones I was used to catching in Jamaica bay. About 3 feet long and thick. We brought them back to the base and the mess steward (Cookie) fried them, with bacon, mushrooms and onions. They tasted like sweet chicken. Can still visualize the taste and that was many years ago. Harvey TJL 07-05-2006, 07:03 PM I love seafood and try to eat it once a week, especially salmon. Fish is a very healthy for you. I'm not too crazy about crabs though. We used to go crabbing all the time when I was a kid, but I lost my taste for them. LuLu Rogers 07-05-2006, 07:25 PM I had fish for dinner! Talapia! Mmmm! :D Janice 07-05-2006, 09:30 PM I like shellfish only....lobster, crab, shrimp and scallops occasionally. I Love John Ritter 07-06-2006, 02:28 AM I LOVE seafood!! Too bad I don't really get to eat it often. passionsfan79 07-06-2006, 03:00 AM I love shrimp, tuna, and walley never tried northern fish but I heard that was good to James 07-06-2006, 03:14 AM I used to be a "fish frowner" myself, but I have started to enjoy seafood as of late. It must be a sudden urge to try new foods! My favorite dishes include crab cakes, fried clams, New England clam chowder, and lobster rolls. I was in Maine recently and went to a lobster shack and ordered one (When in Rome ...). Not until I was halfway through did I realize I had to pour the hot butter on to make the lobster meat "hot"--originally it was cold, as in fresh out of the refrigerator. Nevertheless, I found my first ever lobster roll very enjoyable, perhaps the highlight of my trip! A friend I know originally from up there told me that the only place around Dayton for lobster is Red Lobster. lilhave 07-06-2006, 07:24 AM I like shellfish only....lobster, crab, shrimp and scallops occasionally. Ah, crabs! Think it was my graduation year from high school before entering college and my friend's father bought a 24ft. Span Amercian boat with a 35 hp. Evenrude motor(didn't make 50's at the time). We would take the boat to the Sheepshead Bay piers in brooklyn and go crabbing. The piers were held by pillings and blue claws clung to them. Using a scoop net we pulled them off and put them in bushel baskets we had in the boat, and sold them when we reached shore. Every 5th or 6th crab was a soft shell,(blue claw that is molting), and these were put in a separate bushel, so as not to cursh them. These we kept. Anthony's grandmother made a crab sauce for the spaghetti, that was to good to be true, and placed two or three crabs on the top of the spaghetti. Heaven was here on earth. Now you take Maryland crab cakes!. Nothing is sweeter. Harvey MsOrange 07-06-2006, 07:48 AM the only seafood I like is hush puppies |
