View Full Version : Breaking News - 7TH HEAVEN
tv star collector 07-04-2006, 06:43 PM Per TV GUIDE magazine (July 10, 2006): While the CW network has ordered 13
new episodes, there won't be much more. The last minute reprieve came because 7TH HEAVEN ranked as the highest-rated show on both the WB and
UPN, and because producer Brenda Hampton agreed to lower production costs
(the returning actors took a "huge" pay cut). Stephen Collins, Catherine Hicks,
Beverley Mitchell and George Stults will all be back. Only cast members David Gallegher and Mackenzie Rosman opted out, though Hampton hopes they will change their minds.
Hampton reveals the biggest story line will revolve around Rev. Eric Camden
(Collins), who might have only a year to live because of heart problems. As
for the three sets of twins promised in the show's "series finale," only two will
be born. But Lucy (Mitchell) won't wind up pregnant. And despite fans' hopes,
it looks like Simon (Gallegher) isn't the father of Sandy's (Haylie Duff) baby.
Harper49 07-04-2006, 06:51 PM Does that mean 7th Heaven will still be a final season?
tv star collector 07-05-2006, 08:14 AM To quote executive producer Brenda Hampton: "We're guessing we have a year
to live."
Harper49 07-05-2006, 04:11 PM Maybe but... 7th Heaven may be an 11th and final season now.
love_charlie820 07-05-2006, 11:57 PM it seems like 7th heaven is basicaly going down hill from here! there losing all there charectars. first mary and matt. then basicaly simon. nd know ruthie! i think its retarted. they cant lose ruthie. and know there bring back erics heart problems and sying that he might die! and what did sandy need to talk to simon about if the baby is not his! if they do all of this then this is deffentily the last season!
love_charlie820 07-05-2006, 11:59 PM oh and ahother thing, lucys is not going to wind up pregnate? does she have a miscarriage or something! the writer is really messing up 7th heaven!
Kristen 07-06-2006, 12:18 AM Why couldn't this show have gone out with some diginity? This is not looking good.
G-Force Glockstar 07-07-2006, 11:31 PM If Ruthie and Simon aren't in the show, I'M NOT WATCHING IT! :(
love_charlie820 07-09-2006, 12:42 PM I also saw on another website that in stead of martin being a baseball player he joins the army and ends up dying in tranning! i dont know if its true or not but yeah.
Superstar 07-09-2006, 12:59 PM This show should have ended about 5 years ago imo. They should have quit while they were ahead.
love_charlie820 07-09-2006, 01:09 PM well i dont think they should have quit but at least if there bringing it back then make it more intresting! and not mess the show up!
Rachel3118 07-10-2006, 11:00 PM Oh my gosh they did what we though was the final episode and now there just continuing it. They needed to go out while the show was still good. And the show without Ruthie and Simon. How will that work?
love_charlie820 07-10-2006, 11:52 PM who knows! but hopefully at least ruthie joins the show again!
Rachel3118 07-11-2006, 09:42 PM Ruthie needs to join the show. They can't just have a high school kid leave the show, it just wouldn't make sense. But I guess they did it with Mary. Ruthie is also one of the best charectors. It will be wierd next year with barely any charectors.
tv star collector 07-13-2006, 07:19 PM Yeah, I wondered how they could write her character out of the show when
she hasn't finished school yet. Maybe they can persuade her to return.
KnewJohnRitter 07-14-2006, 08:17 PM I found this from someone who knows George (Kevin) on 7th Heaven.
"Mackenzie wanted more money. the only reason why the cw brought back 7th heaven was because the entire cast took like a 40% pay cut. david isn't coming back because this year is his senior year at usc and i'm sure he wanted to concentrate on finishing rather than working but i'm sure when he has a break he'd come back. but mackenzie was the one who was greedier than the rest it just goes to show you who she thinks she is. I got that information straight from george stults. I own and run georgestults.com and I did an interview with him last month and he told me that himself."
I like to check things out before posting. Looks like this Erin person who wrote that above, is telling the truth. She runs george's official site and has interviews with him.

Hmm, wow.....I thought Mackenzie was really nice.
The Flying Dutchmans 07-15-2006, 02:58 PM Is it makenzie? or is it her parents that are greedy? seems to me that most kids do only what mom and dad want so if mom and dad ask for more than the kid askes for more. I wish theyd just leave it in the canceled file and keep it there. 7th heaven went out a winner so just leave it that way and go on to the next tv series whatever it is.
robyrob 07-15-2006, 06:06 PM i think they had a perfectly good series finale at a reasonably good time, it just seems like anything they do now will be a big letdown...
i won't like it, but i'll keep watching as long as the main character, Happy is still on.

Actually I believe many people were disappointed in the finale including myself and the show probably should have stopped a year or two ago.
As far as the rest of your post goes...
Harper49 07-20-2006, 04:54 PM I'll bet that 7th Heaven renewed for 13 new episodes for The CW Network and atfer that it'll be off the air, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WA-HOWA!!!!!!!!! WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rachel3118 07-22-2006, 12:18 PM Simon always had a lot of interesting story lines. Kevin and Lucy on the other hand have already settled down and it would be boring to watch them raise there kids.
I don't think it shows that Makenzie is a bad person just because she won't take a pay cut. If doing it for the amount of money offered isn't worth it then she shouldn't do it. She probably doesn't want to be in a show that isn't likely to do well.
xoBabyKatexo 07-23-2006, 05:42 PM In the beginning I was actually looking forward.
But this was before knew MacKenzie was LEAVINGG!??
I will not watch itt.
And come on, it seems like it's goingg very downhill.
Lucy isn't pregnant?
I agree, they should of left it where it was.
KnewJohnRitter 07-25-2006, 02:03 PM I found out that Mackenzie and David will appear in couple of episodes of the new season. They won't be in all of them. Plus Jessica (Mary) will appear in 4 episodes.
