I might have only been four years of age at the time, but I have a recollection of the bicentennial quarters being a big thing. I still see them today on occasion, even though I am focusing on the state quarters now. At any rate, Happy 230th birthday to my country, the United States of America! :birthday: patriot: G-Force Glockstar 07-04-2006, 04:09 PM Happy Birthday America!!! :flag: cmcb06 07-04-2006, 04:19 PM Happy 230th Birthday America. Keep goin' strong. And to celebrate the 4th... If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children and my wife. I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today, ‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away. And I’m proud to be an American where as least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A. From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee, across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea, From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA, Well, there’s pride in every American heart, and it’s time to stand and say: I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A Hollow 07-04-2006, 07:51 PM i hate sharing my birthday. but i guess america was here first. gilligan fanatic 07-04-2006, 09:14 PM Happy Independence day everyone dandelion wine 07-05-2006, 12:22 AM Happy Birthday, America! :woohoo: Hope everybody's having a safe and wonderful 4th of July. :) I would like to know just how many of you were around for the 200th birthday, the bicentennial of '76.
