I'm working from 2:30-6, but I'm going to try to see the fireworks at Port Jefferson Harbor with some friends (if there are any going off there...if not, I think Cedar Beach might have some). I attended a family BBQ today to celebrate the 4th early :)

Yep, I'm going to my brother and his fiancees rehearsal dinner for there wedding, which is on the 7th, in Washington State. I'm walking my mom down the aisle before we take our seats, so I guess they have to teach us how to walk the right way or something. lol! After that, we're going to have a fancy dinner, with, (And TJL will appreciate this), free alcohol!!! I'm a bit nervous about it, but it should be a fun day!!!

No. The older I get, the more I dislike this holiday anyway. Probably go over to my grandmother's for awhile, but after 3 minutes I'll want to go home. And I'll probably end up getting stuck meeting my cousin's idiotic boyfriend. Overjoyed.

Nothing, not one single thing, not even sparklers :(

I got to work from three till nine on Tuesday. My Dad is working as well so we weren't planing on doing anything at all anyway so I just volunteered to work. It's not going to be bad since most of my friends have to work the same time as me anyway. If you need to pick up hot dog buns or are out out of beer and are in VA, stop and say hello, I'll be there.

There are fireworks that are put on every year, I can see from my porch, so I don't even have to leave home. I always watch one of the specials the networks have on.

I've actually got the 4th off this year (had to work it the last two years) so I'm driving to Cleveland to see the Yankees play the Indians. Of course, it's calling for rain but I don't care

My family had our 4th of July celebration yesterday! There was so much food, it could have fed a small army! There was horseback riding, badminton and horseshoes, swimming at the pool, and we bought enough fireworks, it took us almost two hours to light them all!!! Hope everyone has an amazing day!!!

We had a little cookout yesterday with a few friends. My husband had eye surgery on Friday, so he's limited on what he can do.

Awww, so he had to get that other eye surgery afterall?? I'm so sorry Janice. :( Well, atleast he'll hopefully be on a quicker road to recovery this time. With prayers, and a great nurse like you, I'm sure he'll be fine in no time at all. Please send him my best Janice!!! :)

We have a cook out at my grandmother's every year. All 18+ of us, LOL. My aunt works for TNT fireworks, so she gets to bring 4 huge boxes of fire works for us! We eat homemade ice cream and watch the fireworks! It's a lot of fun. :)

That sounds awesome. :D It sounds alot like our firework get together's use to be. We'd drive up to Milwaukee every year to the same friends house, buy a crapload of fireworks, have great food, conversation, atmosphere, and enjoy lighting off fireworks until well after midnight. But then all of a sudden the tradition just stopped, and things just haven't been the same since. :( :( :( That was always my favorite day of the year, even moreso than my birthday. Ahh, memories, memories. Anyway, I hope you have an awesome time at your Aunts, and keep that tradition going!!! :)

You should set some fireworks off in the building and then blame it on Joe and TF.

I got the date mixed up, turns out tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner, then on the 6th, my grandma and Aunt are flying in from Arizona, then on the 7th, is the wedding (FINALLY), and then from the 8th to the 14th, I'll be housesitting for my bro and Kelli while their honeymooning in Hawaii. Today I pretty much just rested, preparing for the busy next two weeks. I'm thinking about going to see Oregon's big firework show tonight, but I haven't decided yet.

I work on most Holidays (except for Christmas and News Years). So I don't make a big deal over them. I usually take the following weekend off to make up for my worked Holidays.:)

Today ended up being a nice day...I worked from 2:30-5:30 (got off earlier than usual), attended a family BBQ and then we all saw the fireworks at the local beach. Had a great time :)
