View Full Version : Traumatic Middle School, and High School experiences?

When I was in the 7th grade, I had this very bad experience in school. I guess I had just started puberty at that very moment, when all of a sudden, a very strange odor started coming from my underarms. I had never experienced it before, so I was really freaked out, so I tightened my arms to my side to try to trap in the odor, but the friction just made me sweat more, and made it worse. Within no time, kids started noticing, and within five minutes, the whole class moved away from me and were laughing, and calling me stinky. I had been held back in kindergarten, and so I was a year older than the other kids in my class, which explained to me why I was going through this before they were. I gotta say though, the sick part of me absolutely loved it when about a year later, these same kids who mocked me, started going through puberty themselves, and suddenly kids were laughing at, and moving away from them. Meanwhile, I'd be sitting there fresh, and smelling like a daisy laughing laughing my ass of as hard as I could, the same way they had done it to me a year earlier. Ahhh, revenge can sure be a sweet when you're a kid!!! :D

The funny thing actually happened to me the same week the embarrassing incident occured. Well this is actually both funny and embarrassing at the same time. My parents were broke for the month, so I had no way of getting deodorant. So one morning, I woke up really early, and got into both my mom and dad's car, took their two little tree air freshener thingies, and put them under my arm pits. I figured this would be a good way to smell good without deodorant, and for most of day, I smelt good and fresh like a beautiful pine forrest, but unfortunately, in the middle of gym class, I started noticing a nasty aroma of B.O. mixed with pine, which made for one of the most ghastly smells I had ever smelt. Once again the kids notice, and it was after this moment, that I knew my middle school reputation would always be tarnished because of these two horrific childhood events. So let me just say to all you 13 to 15 year olds out there, NEVER FORGET YOUR DEODORANT BEFORE GOING TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wearing it everyday will make your junior high days far more happy, and memorable, and will save you from moments that you will look back at with utter embarrasment. LOL!!!!!

When I was in 7th or 8th grade, a friend of mine said something to my crush about me while I was in the same room. I was mortified.

In 7th, a friend of mine had a little problem with her period protection so to speak, and it ended up all over the back of her pants. I'm soooooo glad that never happened to me.

And prom was just one big traumatic event!

omg it would take me weeks (and I'm NOT exaggerating!!) to say all the bad things that happened to me in middle school!!

The worst thing that happened to me in 6th grade is that I was the biggest NERD in school and wore the ugliest clothes and me and my best friends would always get in fights and they'd all hate me. Plus, I got teased by mean people 24/7! :(

In 7th grade, I constantly got called ugly by boys!! :(

In 8th grade, I still constantly got called ugly by boys......I had strong hopes of being popular because there was this popular group who were all my friends and would ask for me to sit with them at lunch every day! But then that popular group split up because they all got mad at one girl, so I felt like crap then......then that one girl, Kayla, I told you guys about started hating me and talking about me behind my back just because I wanted sex!

MIDDLE SCHOOL IS HELL!!! I'm really looking forward to high school.....not!

In 6th grade, I walked into the wrong classroom  That was embarrasing.

In 7th grade, my teacher accused me of flirting with my crush when i wasnt really. That was really embarrasing cause she was my crush and all :grr:

In 8th grade, the whole YEAR was tramatic. People were stupid and yeahh my grades were falling and it just sucked overall. The best part was that I got to graduate that piece of crap. But one time I left grapes in my backpack for like a week and yeahh it made the whole locker room smell *-*.

 I had this friend who was a grade behind me in school. This one time, she told me a first-period story (it wasn't hers, thankfully). They were in 7th and I was in 8th when this happened. The 7th graders were at lunch one day. For a while, they had teachers sit at each table, as there was a serious behavior problem. My friend was sitting nearby when this happened. This one girl was sitting next to one of the teachers at her table, and she was wearing white pants. When the girl got up to go dump her lunch tray, there was blood on the bench AND she had a gigantic blood stain on the back of her pants!! She started her first period in that lunchroom, sitting next to her teacher. My friend and I laughed about that...Sucked to be that girl.

That's funny you mention that, because I was in school the day I got my first period. It wasn't traumatic, though, so it's not worth sharing. Just keep a Ziploc bag with pads in your backpack if that ever happens so that you don't have to buy a pad from the vending machine in the restroom.

Damn, some of those are really sad stories. :( I'm sorry that **** happened to you guys. One pretty traumatic moment I can recall was my first day of the 8th grade. We were at some annual first day assembly, and the kid behind me was spitting on me, and when I confronted him, he called me a ****ing f*ggot, and continued. Worst part was, the S.O.B was doing it in front of a girl who I had a crush on since the first grade. :( No wonder I was only in the 8th grade for three months before dropping out. I just couldn't deal with that **** everyday, and since my teachers never did anything about it, I just had no choice. No kid should have to put up with that crap!!! BULLIES CAN KISS MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had the period thing happen to me in 7th grade...more than once. Let's just say after that I was paranoid as hell about it everytime I got it. Still am a bit to this day.

I lost my childhood friends as well in 8th grade and stayed home from school due to all the stress. Depression and everything followed and I just felt like crap about myself. I hated myself and everything and I just hated living. It was awful. There was one particular incident where my ******* dad forced me to go to school while I was having an anxiety attack and crying and he was flipping out and dragged me to the car and drove to the school. Let's just say cops were involved and it was the worst day of my life. I ran out of his car as soon as we got to school and my mom happened to be driving by, which is a miracle, and the cops were there when we got home. My dad's an *******.

I've had bad experiences in both middle school and high school.

In 8th grade I, along with others, were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. We had a ceromony. The principal deminstrated what we were supposed to do when we were called down. We were sitting in bleechers and I couldn't see the deminstration from where I was sitting. I was at the top of the bleechers. So when I was called down and handed a candle I didn't know what I was supposed to do with it. The hot wax started running down my hand and it hurt. The next thing I knew the principal who was holding a microphone so that everyone could hear her when she called out the names said "Oh that's the visually impaired girl." I wanted to crawl under a rock and die from embarrasment. Then when it was my turn to sign the book she asked me if I could sign my own name. I told her I could.
.

I'm sorry this happened to you. :( It sounds like it was a terrible experience.

my middle school days were a BLAST. Oh I miss youthful days.

I really miss 5th grade. That was the year that i realised, "Hey. I'm radtastic" and started being the class clown. Yeah. I never got in trouble because the teachers adored me. yeah.

But I did get teased alot. I Still kinda do but I just say something smart that they don't understand. Anyone who makes fun of anyone (with the intention of being mean) has low-self- esteem and is a moron.

I explained to her that having a vision problem isn't contagious. My bestfriend who was my English teacher the year before thought it was really stupid that the girl asked me that.

My mom had a hysterectomy when I was 12, and the hospital gave her these huge, thick pads just in case. Well, she ended up not needing them, so I wore them to school so that I wouldn't have to worry about leaks. These things were like friggin diapers. But nothing happened!

The worst part for me was a) going to the bathroom in general. I didn't want anyone knowing in JH. And in 6th grade, carrying a pad with you, because 6th was still elementary for us and I had no use to carry a purse around, so I had to hide a pad in my pockets and stuff. Not exactly fool proof. :o

My middle school was just full of bloody surprises. Gotta love being a young preteen/teen going through puberty. I have another period story from junior high, not mine (thank god) but it's pretty graphic, so I'm not going to post it here.

The vending machine tampons/pads are of the crappy variety, and they only offer one type of absorbency tampons, which means a higher risk of TSS if it's not the absorbency you need. Meh.

Quite a few actually. I was never one to sit back and let people abuse me without dishing it out in return. I think alot of kids respected me for my ability to stand up for myself, regardless of who it was I was standing up to. One time this kid who was extremely popular started making fun of me, and I turned the tables on him, and made him look like a total fool in front of the whole class. Even some of his friends were laughing at the way I twisted things around on him. It became a legendary moment in our school that year. It's alot tougher to do though when you have four or five guys on your case. Nobody can take that on.

 Obsessed with Carrie much? ;)

http://www.4woman.gov/faq/menstru.htm#8

When should I see a health care provider about my period?

You should consult your health care provider for the following:

* If you have not started menstruating by the age of 16.
* If your period has suddenly stopped.
* If you are bleeding for more days than usual.
* If you are bleeding excessively.
* If you suddenly feel sick after using tampons.
* If you bleed between periods (more than just a few drops).
* If you have severe pain during your period.

She still has one more year to not worry about that kind of stuff.

sounds like my freshman year....holy god i could write an entire book about it. i was nice to everyone and within weeks everyone hated me and i was harrassed verbally and physically...it was horrible. plus at home my dad was abusing me (you all know how he is and how it started, i won't explain here) and seriously damaging me emotionally. come october or november everything completely crashed down on me and i became MANIACALLY suicidal, and also ended up contemplating homicide, just to get the message through....you'd think i was a psychopath by reading some of the posts i made on here, all this "i wish i was dead!1!!1 :birthday:" stuff. i cried every day for no reason and cut my wrists regularly to ease the pain, both at home and in the school bathrooms. i told my dad once i was going to kill myself, and he just yelled at me about how i'm just "doing this on purpose," that i was just a whiny attention whore, but i guess just to take responsibility he called 911 and sent me to the emergency room, and yelled and bitched at me about how i don't have a right to act on my depression as i do because other people are less fortunate....well excuse me doc, but these feelings are natural, not something i choose to feel. well anyway he rubbed it in my face that he wanted them to send me away to a mental asylum or some ****, but according to them i was fine enough as far as mental (not emotional) stability. yeah a lot of really horrible **** went on during that year...i have a really long blog entry about it on myspace to sum it up.

Well, these aren't really "traumatic", but they do stick out in my mind as being the times I had a bit of trouble in HS.

I remember this one guy who was a year older than me sat in front of me in one class, and he was SUCH a jerk and always making fun of people he thought were "weaker" than him and just generally pissed me off in general. The teacher was NEVER paying attention or even in the room hardly, and so lots of stuff happened in there that just went by unnoticed. One time, he had this big book, and then he started talking trash and daring me to hit him with it, because he didn't think I would.

So, I just took the book, swung it and hit him clear across the face with it. His mouth bled a little bit (not much) and he was pretty embarassed after that.

Another time (same guy, same class) he was pissing me off in the back of the room, and I got so mad that I grabbed a chair and raised it above my head, about to hit him with it and not caring what happened after that. Anyway, everybody was standing around and somebody grabbed me and pulled the chair away so I could calm down and not wind up in trouble.

sounds like my freshman year....holy god i could write an entire book about it. i was nice to everyone and within weeks everyone hated me and i was harrassed verbally and physically...it was horrible. plus at home my dad was abusing me (you all know how he is and how it started, i won't explain here) and seriously damaging me emotionally. come october or november everything completely crashed down on me and i became MANIACALLY suicidal, and also ended up contemplating homicide, just to get the message through....you'd think i was a psychopath by reading some of the posts i made on here, all this "i wish i was dead!1!!1 :birthday:" stuff. i cried every day for no reason and cut my wrists regularly to ease the pain, both at home and in the school bathrooms. i told my dad once i was going to kill myself, and he just yelled at me about how i'm just "doing this on purpose," that i was just a whiny attention whore, but i guess just to take responsibility he called 911 and sent me to the emergency room, and yelled and bitched at me about how i don't have a right to act on my depression as i do because other people are less fortunate....well excuse me doc, but these feelings are natural, not something i choose to feel. well anyway he rubbed it in my face that he wanted them to send me away to a mental asylum or some ****, but according to them i was fine enough as far as mental (not emotional) stability. yeah a lot of really horrible **** went on during that year...i have a really long blog entry about it on myspace to sum it up.

Wow, I'm really sorry.....your dad seriously needs some help! :(

hey, she's lucky!
No kidding! I was still in elementary when mine started. I wanted to hide until HS.

And now it's just annoying as ****.
