Set up a trade with this person a while back, he sent first and everything went good. Set up another trade and I went ahead and sent when I had his sets complete. I never received anything from him. Last contact was an email in March with a lot of excuses. I have sent several emails since with no response. Just wanted to let others know not to deal with this person. I am not expecting to get any of my discs that are due to me from this scammer. I am out a LOT of discs. Just wanted to let others know so they could avoid him.

egads, this one rings a bell! here is lamonts story--- straight from the horses mouth

last year he contacted me about a BIG TRADE--- he said hed send first, ok i said---- then he was gone---- for MONTHS, no emails, no answers, NOTHING

months later--- hes back--- says ALMOST DONE-- ok, then gone again, a month later i got a BIG BOX FROM HIM!!!!!

i checked the discs and they APPEARED TO BE FINE--- i tested some and they duped ok-- I ALMOST SENT HIM HIS 1/2
but thank god another member emailed me with DETAILED PROBLEMS for the stuff---- and i checked and the sets were ALL SCREWED UP

for example--- his CHINA BEACH SET----- well first, 5 of the discs DIDNT WORK AT ALL, they were junk-- the others, some menus didnt work, u pushed PLAY on an ep, and it just froze--- and sometimes the counter keeps going, BUT the pic freezes up for up to 5 minutes--- not once, but several times

LOTS OF ISSUES LIKE THIS--- i emailed him and told him to check them and see--- he wanted ME to check the discs, one by one--- FFWD ALL THE WAY THROUGH to give detailed problems list--- i started to do it, but then realized HELL NO! i dont have 2 months straight to watch all these 200 discs to see whats screwed up-- thats HIS job, NOT mine, so i asked him to check and fix--- no replies----- no redos-----

the sets were a mess--- some eps mislabeled, some discs would have 5 eps on a disc ONLY 1 would play, and then the disc locked up after that 1 eps and the other 4 wouldnt work--- i even tried to extract the eps to my hard drive--- NOTHING total useless junk sets

ANYHOW-- he contacted me months ago, angry and wanting me to send my 1/2 of trade--- thinks i owe him that--- i told him to fix the discs or to pay me to return them back to him--- i aint wasting my $$$$ to mail back his junk that i wasted so much time on

NO COMMENTS, NO ANSWERS--- so i still have the discs sitting here

i emailed him tonight and he has til monday or they go in the trash

he seemed like nice guy, and maybe he is--- the errors on the discs are NOT duplicating errors i dont think, i think HIS SETS ARE ALL SCREWED UP too

BUT he should have checked them and made sure before he burned 200+ off in trades--- I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY OTHER PERSON he had this issue with, but i wont speak for others-----

bottom line--- avoid him like the plague

the sets u got from him before

ID GO OVER WITH A FINE TOOTHED COMB to see if they ACTUALLY worK!

i also had a less than good deal with this person

we agreed on a large trade

and as i havent heard of them before, i told them that i would only deal on a them send first basis

jackie did send them in a swift manner

jackie used teon crap discs, which didnt work, stopped, etc

so we arrived at a comprimise

i would send my end, plus 133 blank taiyo yuden discs for jackie to rerun the group , since theres a lot better chance of sucess with the good blanks

jackie did rerun the group, and also a couple more sets that we agreed to add on the next trade

jackie did them in a couple weeks and reshipped them to me, and even dropped me a payment for the blanks i sent , which was quite decent

however the rerun discs were just like the other results

totaly unuseable

so im out 133 discs and worse yet, a boat load to time messing and testing junk

jackie did try and rerun the items,and did do them in a timely manner, and actualy did pay for my blanks when they were rerun--- i did give jackie a lot of credit for doing all they could to fix the problem, thats why i never said anything previously

but the bottom line is the 133 discs were just plain of no use

well what i dont get though

is Loren and I got a lot of Overlapping sets from this guy

if he reran them for loren and KNEW THEY STILL WERE CRAP AND USELESS--- then how come he didnt offer to do right by me? i mean, he knew the stuff i had was now junk and he therefore knew HIS MASTER sets were also junk----- im curious if he is still trading these same JUNK SETS to scottdvd and others? or what

i mean, he wanted me to check EACH ONE OUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH---- like i have time for that? and even if i did, it aint my job to check his mistakes---

i didnt want to put up a bad post- b/c i thought maybe he was new and maybe it was just newbie mistakes--- but it looks like its not, and hes got the issues and more with others---

he DID seem like a nice guy, and i know it took him a lot of time to burn the discs off--- but i dont trade for "TIME" i trade for discs, and i have nothing here but a big box of useless ones that have to be trash canned!

One big set I did get in the first trade we did had commercials so that set was no good to me, good quality though. 2 other sets had issues and am still waiting for replacements that will never come. After the trade is set up if the person can not have my discs to me within at least 2 weeks, I do not want to trade with them even if they are sending first. I have lots of people that have no problem getting discs to me within 3-7 days, some live outside the US. At least he did send some discs out to people, even though they didn't work. My second trade with him he didn't send me jack!

having commercials in a set doesnt make a bad trader, unless it was clearly stated they were --NOT--to be there

and my deal was before lamonts deal with jackie, so jackie knew full well that there was a problem, and went ahead with lamonts stuff as if there was no issues

and why did jackie treat me differently than old lamont--who knows

but my guess would be that since my reruns didnt work, it would be a waste of time to go that route

even though we worked with the same person , and had some of the same discs not work, we all make different deals, and agree to different provisions in those deals

i spell things out in a very direct manner, perhaps the next person isnt quite so direct in their provisions

I understand about the commercials not making him a bad trader, I was not saying it did, just stating they were in there and in a big set. What makes him a bad trader to me is that he owes me 125 discs I was supposed to receive back in March and never received. No emails, no discs, no communication, nothing.

I have one complaint from a user on a Yahoo site, matching this person- So their account here is suspended.

They hadn't made any posts- but in case they were contacting users from this site and using the account for that purpose, the account is banned until furthor notice.

I also emailed them, with no reply.

I agree, it's not your job to make sure they work. I'm assuming you used ISObuster? Often times a DVD will bum out on me and I'll extract to the hard drive using that since it's not finalized or other issues it may have. I don't know if a ripper would be able to detect such a flawed DVD.

If ISObuster worked, then we know the guy/girl meant very well, but was certainly very careless with regards to others. The others saying he/she still owes them from the past is a whole different issue that's certainly inexcusable.

Where all the disks really that bad??? Some hell of a DVD Decrypter he used! :lol:

yes these discs were all CRAPOLA

at least 1/3 of them were defective

NOT a single of these big sets i got was usable they were all junk

MY GUESS Is he had bad discs from someone else, didnt check them, didnt know and HONESTLY thought they worked--- AT FIRST
but even after loren had a mess with the discs--- HE TRADED THEM TO ME TOO! and i guess he KNEW by then they were messed up b/c loren told him
so he sent me 200+ anyway and that is what burns my butt!!!!
