The Brady Kids cartoon is now owned by Hallmark, which is why Paramount couldn't release it without some sort of mutual agreement. Alot of people do sell very nicely made (but homemade) copies of this show on eBay, however the prices tend to get a little bit steep.

I thought Paramount did a nice job with this show. They kept the packaging consistant, put it out in a timely manner, and at least they PLAY. Universal on the other hand with their 2 sided discs that freeeeze uuup are an utter NIGHTMARE. I give props to Paramount.... if only these contained more extras.

I agree. As you say, I only wish Paramount would have put more commentaries on the sets. The three episodes done with them during the first season is really fun to listen to. And the fact that Barry Williams said on his website that Susan Olsen, Chris Knight, and himself recorded commentaries for the second season, make it all the more frustrating!

I hope the Second Season commentary was not shelved because the First Season commentary by the kids was "too negative" or not complementary enough of the show! I think the fact that Barry, Susan and Chris were so lighthearted and irreverent with the commentary actually made the commentary great fun and hilarious to listen to!

Yes, at least we have all the episodes. :) I'm still waiting for Sony to release the remaining seasons of The Partridge Family. :(
I also enjoyed the commentaries on the first season dvd. My favorite was 'The Hero.' I also love the packaging. I'm disappointed that Paramount didn't do more considering the retail price of each set.

Paramount is either hit or miss when it comes to DVD's. Gunsmoke and Phil Silvers show has a ton of extras and commentaries. The Brady Bunch has a few commentaries, Happy Days has none.
Still no Odd Couple DVD either

Perhaps they could release a set containing The Brady Bunch, Brady Kids, Brady Hour, Brady Christmas, The Bradys, Brady Bunch Movie and Brady Sequel in a box shaped like Mike Reeds head similar to the Alien set and Planet of the Apes set. Question is, would it be permed or pre-perm?
