STYLE NETWORK ACQUIRES OFF-NET HIT
Popular Transformation Series, ABC's "Extreme Makeover" Set to Debut on
Style On July 4
Los Angeles, June 28, 2006 -- With viewership and ratings rapidly on
the rise, Style Network has added popular, non-scripted, lifestyle series,
ABC's "Extreme Makeover" to its summer schedule, it was announced today
by Executive Vice President, Style Network, Salaam Coleman Smith.
"Extreme Makeover" is set to make its Style Network debut on July 4th
from 12 PM to 6 PM. Additionally, new episodes will premiere Monday
through Friday at 7 PM beginning the week of July 10.
"Extreme Makeover will be wonderful addition to Style's robust summer
schedule that includes series debuts of Instant Beauty Pageant and Try
My Life, and all-new episodes of original series How Do I Look?, Clean
House and Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?," said Coleman Smith. "The series
offers heartfelt, real-life drama, which has proven appeal to our core,
young female audience who are passionate about the lifestyle genre."
Hit ABC series "Extreme Makeover," distributed by Buena Vista
Television, features everyday people who undergo a series of cosmetic
procedures and have their lives changed with the help of the 'Extreme
Team.' Comprised of cosmetic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, stylists,
nutritionists, trainers and fashion experts, the team guides and
educates participants through each stages of the makeover process.
Beginning July, Style will begin airing the 55 episode series.
Style Network is up 17% in total viewers and 20% with the important
female 18-49 demo in Q2 2006 versus the previous year.
