well for starters that NOSE JOB before season 8. that's what killed everything

She didn't need that nosejob, She looked so much better before she had it done. I agree that it did make her look older. I think she looked better with her short hairstyle from the 1st season.

I don't know about aging badly, but she definitely went through some drastic hair style changes that changed the way she looked. She went from the "cute" look, to the afro look, to the Pat Benatar-ish look.

I thought she looked funny with her season 1 hair style. She looked great in every season after that, up until she had her nose job.

less black eye make-up for sure and she PROBABLY, don't know for sure, had plastic surgery done on them. I want to believe it's less black eye make-up.

Not really much to do with aging, but I wish she had never cut her hair. I liked it long and curly

I think she was pretty all throughout the show ...she did change a LOT from each season to the other...I think some of that change in the last season was also b/c she didn't wear as much make-up (to me it seemed around her eyes) !!!

I've always thought that she was pretty throughout the shows entire run.

I thought she looked the prettiest in the seventh season. Her nose kind of looked like a pug after the surgery.

Sorry, but I think you're all being too catty. I happen to think Joyce was beautiful in the TC days (when she was around 30), and has matured gracefully. She didn't receive the attention she deserved then, and I'm hearing much too much criticism now. While not as young as she used to be (who of us are?), I think she still looks great today. She was and is a doll. Maybe I'm alone here, but I'd love to spend some time with her. Perhaps these superficial opinions about Joyce's looks are from younger folks who can't conceive of the fact that people age. We all age, some better than others. I think Joyce looks pretty darned good for a lady of 57. What are you going to look like at 57? I'd date Joyce in a New York minute if I could. I think she's fine, always was fine, and always will be fine. Of course, this comes from a guy who's turning 50 in two months... I'm one of the few who actually watched TC when it was on the air originally. I was in love with Joyce then, and always will be...

Umm No I watched TC when it was originally on and I'm giving my honest opinion. I think she looked better in the early years before her nose job. . I like Joyce but I always thought Suzanne and Priscilla were Prettier. It has nothing to do with her aging because we all age. I agree with you on that one. It's just the way I see it.

Joyce is a very beautiful woman and I don't think she should've had that nose job...it just changed her whole face totally. She's still a lovely woman, though.

I personally think she looked best in Season 4 with her new haircut and subtle make-up that brought out her amazing features :)

I thought Joyce DeWitt aged Janet very well with her constant hairstyle changes. The hairstyle changes was a reflection of Janet's growth and growing confidence. Janet exploded in season 4 when she got rid of that godawful perm she had in seasons 2 and 3. I hated that hairstyle on her. It made her look older and maternal. Season 4 with the new hairstyle, better looking clothes and subtle makeup brought out Joyce DeWitt's natural beauty. Janet started loosen up and not being so heavy handed and controlling as she was in seasons 1-3. Season 5, like John Ritter, she looked quite upset in her performances due to the whole Suzanne Somers mess that dragged on through the entire season. After Priscilla Barnes arrived in season 6 Janet got back in form from season 4. In season 7 when her hair was long Janet became a hottie especially in those short skirts she wore. I always thought Joyce was better looking than Suzanne. I go more for the natural beauty. Suzanne today looks better than she did in 3's Company.

Some people have also speculated that she had a brow lift, which would explain why her eyes appear different as well during the final season.

In addition, Joyce was 34 years old when Season 8 began, so I think she was definitely starting to look older, regardless.

I prefer Janet's look from Seasons 1-3, but I thought she was attractive throughout. I think her best look was in Season 3's Good Old Reliable Janet, and Double Date, where she had the perm but her hair was a little longer....

I thought Janet's hair was at its prettiest during Season 3.

Joyce Dewitt still look good for her age; Suzanne Somers had so many surgeries that it made her look unreal.

Joyce also lost around 20 pounds around the 5th or 6th season. You see it a lot in her face. I think the weight loss, nose job and natural aging is what happened. A nose job really changes the entire face. Look at Jennifer Grey!

I wish more actresses aged gracefully in Hollywood like Joyce has. Better than Botoxing ypurself trying to look young. More Hollywood women need to embrace their age.
