Good thing you didn't see him in the movie BILLY JACK...he is playing the same person, a sheriff, but HE IS THEE WORST SHERIFF. He hates American Indians, he even hates his daughter. Good movie, but he is f***head in this movie. He makes his character Officer Kirk look like an angel in Happy Days. For some reason, this actor is always playing some sort of law enforcement officer and not a very nice one either. I believe he is stereotyped...LOL

I have always wondered what Ed Peck was really like. Was he really the bully cop he played on TV?

Ed Peck was also Colonel Fellini in the original STAR TREK episode "Tomorrow Is
Yesterday" (first aired Jan. 26, 1967). He was an Air Force officer in this outing
in which Kirk and Sulu are beamed down to 1960s Earth.

I thought Kirk was a good thorn in Fonzie's side. He was supposed to be a caricature of a sheriff, kind of like Roscoe from Dukes Of Hazzard, etc.

I thought it was good they had him appear only occasionally - too much Kirk would have been annoying.

What I am wondering is what Ed Peck was like in real life. Often times the actor who portrays a tough guy is the opposite in real life.

The racist deputy sheriff in Billy Jack was played by the late actor Kenneth Tobey.
