 Where is everybody buying their DVD? I've been to Best Buy, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble, and WalMart with no luck. Looks like I'll have to get it online. Anyone else having any luck?

Thanks!

Yeah, I had no luck finding it either. Tried Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Meijer (a midwestern grocery/department store), and FYE. I didn't ask at FYE, but I will tomorrow. Best Buy said they weren't carrying it in the store, but I could order it there and have it shipped to me.

Here is the post I made in another thread.

My mom went to our Walmart to see if they had it in, nada. She went to Target & Best Buy, nada. She asked at all places & was told the only way to get the DVD is to buy it online thru there websites. Now I dont know if this is like this thruought the US but if it is, this sucks. Doing it this way, it might not sell as well & that could be the end of Alice on DVD. Let's hope not tho.

Go to Deep Discount's website, they have it for 5.09 & you get free shipping.

:) Thanks for all the feedback! I ended up going online to deepdiscountdvd. Best deal there, but I would've had more fun bying it in person. Here's hoping for season sets!

I also had trouble finding the DVD. I went to two stores and finally later that night I just caved and ordered it off Amazon.com.

I dunno about other online sites but when I order a DVD (from Amazon)that hasn't yet been released, I usually get it in my mailbox a day or 2 b4 it's released in stores!! So I find that a positive esp. since I live in Germany & can only buy on base, & they usually don't get new DVD's til a week or 2 later than the release date!!

Jackpot! If you have a Borders near you, check them out. I stopped by one tonight and they had 2 copies, so I finally got me a copy :)

9.99...I don't think Borders discounts stuff, but I was just glad I found it. I hate mail ordering stuff if I can buy it locally. I think whoever was in charge of the distribution of this DVD sure dropped the ball. They'll probably use low sales as an excuse to not release the show in season sets :(

Yep that is what worries me with how unavailable this DVD is in stores. I think it wa sso stupid that they did this. Quite frankly I dont know why they just didnt put out the complete first season. It would sell very well I think.

Well, don't worry. The people in charge of deciding whether or not to release full-season sets of Alice on DVD are well-aware of the fact that the current six-episode Alice DVD is hard to obtain in stores. The sales of the DVD from online sources are what will determine the full-season sets release. The six-episode DVD was intended to be distributed very sparingly, only being sold online and a mininal amount of stores. As we now know, this is the case. The same will hold true of season sets, as well. If season sets become available, they too will be available online for the most part, and a limited amount of stores. The bottom line here is the six-DVD set has been selling very well, and Warner Bros. has already begun producing another batch of the DVDs. That's a good sign for those of us wanting season sets.

I had no idea "Alice" was on DVD, but I'd love to have the early seasons---count me in for buying a copy online! :D
