View Full Version : Can somebody tell me the purpose of Jeff? Brian Damage 06-26-2006, 11:07 AM He was always in the cage with Louie. What exactly did he do? What was his job? dlemond 06-26-2006, 11:29 AM He was always in the cage with Louie. What exactly did he do? What was his job? I'm pretty sure he was Louie's assistant. Doing all the dirty work and paperwork and such. Louie seemed to just bark out the orders, but as far as making everything run I think Jeff took care of that. Brian Damage 06-26-2006, 08:04 PM I figured it was something like that. They just never said. lol EmpressDR 01-11-2007, 03:10 AM I think the ep where Jeff had his biggest part was where Louie had built a bomb shelter, and they tried it out for a weekend. HAHA! :brent Ireneparalegal 01-11-2007, 11:01 AM Jeff's purpose was for contrast. To show how actually short Louie was. Skywalker 01-12-2007, 12:17 AM I think the ep where Jeff had his biggest part was where Louie had built a bomb shelter, and they tried it out for a weekend. HAHA! :brent The only episodes I can think of where Jeff had more than a couple of lines are the one you mentioned, "Crime and Punishment" and "A Grand Gesture". It's too bad Jeff wasn't used more, I would have liked to have seen some interactions with him and the rest of the cast (besides Louie). Zanshin 01-12-2007, 10:32 AM I've kind of wondered what exactly the role of the actor had. He wasn't an extra, as he was in nearly every episode, but he rarely had anylines at all. I cannot think of any other part like that in any other TV show. I cannot imagine them casting the role. "You show up in every episode, but don't say anything or serve any obvious role. I also wonder how much his pretty much non speaking role paid. Surely considerly less than the main cast, but more than an extra. Could such a role pay enough to keep the actor in that role for 5 years?? catlover79 04-14-2007, 10:55 AM I've kind of wondered what exactly the role of the actor had. If not, it looked to be a pretty sweet gig. No lines to learn, but still hanging around the regulars day in and day out! :D Artfiore1 04-23-2007, 01:49 AM Hi all, I've often wondered whether or not the actor who played Jeff (J. Alan Thomas) had gotten that role because he might be a good friend of Danny DeVito's. He also had very small parts in the DeVito films "Throw Momma From The Train" and "The Ratings Game." By the way, "Jeff" wasn't a totally non-speaking role. I can think of at least two "Taxi" episodes in which Jeff was a major character with a lot of dialogue. Later, Art |
