Well, soon you will be able to download a ringtone that will do just that.

We're finalizing arrangements with Mr. Earle Hagen, the composer of the famous theme song, and will bring you more news soon.

The song will be available both as a true mp3/wma recording with the wonderful whistler, guitar and drum, and also as a synthesized polyphonic ring for older phones.

Since Mr. Hagen also wrote the themes for The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, I Spy, The Mod Squad and others, you'll be able to download those too.

I read somewhere years ago that it was Earle Hagen himself doing the whistling.
