...was the infamous Hong Kong Gardens? Just curious what everybody thought about this. They mention the restaurant across the street a couple of times, but I don't think ever mentioned it by name.

According to "The Honeymooners Companion":

Hong Kong Gardens. The Chinese restraunt to which the neighborhood folk go on special occasions. It even has a floor show. (The Hong Kong Gardens was not a real place, but a real-sounding one created by writer Syd Zelinka.)
I doubt a nice place like that would have been located on Chauncey Street.
