...why the heck would they need to buy fake moustaches?!? I thought that concept was stupid.

I can understand when Willis and his friend did it on Diff'rent Strokes because they were teenagers, but Jack and Larry were grown men who shouldn't have had a problem growing one.

Not only that, they both looked like they shaved on a regular in real life. You'd think they both couldn't grow hair.

Those mustaches added 10 years to both of them-lol

Yeah or I think the makeup people could have done a better job if they didn't have time to wait for the moustaches to grow in naturally.

Well, for the sake of time they sped things up by having them buy one. Jack spots Larry with one, so of course, he wants one. Easier to have him run out and get one than a few days pass of him trying to grow one in. Also made for good jokes from Janet's laughing at it and Terri falling for Jack. If he grew it in slow the whole plot of the ep would be impossible to carry out. With them seeing it come in slowly instead of suddenly.

he needed it to go with the outfit, but he had a fake moustache when he was the dummy or Mechanical Man too.

What annoyed me most about Jack's moustache is that he wore it too high on his lip...it really bothered me.
