Does anyone know when the final Mr. Rogers episode will air?

I didn't know it was ending!!! Why am I always the last one to know about these things!?

The show is ending. Not because Fred is retiring, it's just ending so he can spend more time illustrating books and spending time on the internet...

I've always wondered this: How old is he?

I think he is like 72 or 73...

My mom thinks that it ended a long time ago. They just show reruns now. He retired quite a while ago - he must be around 80 by now.

No he's still been making episodes until this year. I don't know when the final episode airs or if it may have already aired.

I think when Bob Barker's final TPiR is aired he should team up with Fred and they could do TV projects or something.They both seem like they were best friends in Kindergarten.

Multiple decades after his show went off the air, the name Mister Rogers remains synonymous with children's television. Fred Rogers had initially developed his show in Canada in 1963, where it continued for four years, until he quit and brought the show back to his home in Pittsburgh. His focus was never math and reading — that was more "Sesame Street" territory — it was instead about dealing with emotions, facing life's problems, and generally being a good neighbor to those around you. He would take visitors along to neighborhood businesses, to visit friends, and on tours of factories and the like. Each episode also featured a visit to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, a land occupied by puppets (mostly performed by Rogers himself) who would often teach the same lessons in the manner of fables.
