Hello All
I am currently deciding on whether to add Comcast high speed internet service with digital cable? There is currently an offer for both services at $30 each for the first three months but I checked with Comcast and found that the internet rate would almost double if I don't have cable and internet in a bundle. I have forced them in the past to settle for the cable subscriber internet rate which is about $15 less. I also don't like their cable service whatsoever. Last year we had their cable installed and all we got were crappy Spanish channels with no A&E, USA, TNT, etc for $30/month. Just plain misleading advertising tactics by Comcast. Another thing I don't like about them is that they constantly raise rates at least 5% annually and they give you crappy channels. I am thinking of getting Dish or Directv along with the Comcast internet service; it will probably be cheaper in the long run. I have read that Dish has the America's Top 120 for $35 with local channels for 10 months and then it goes up to $45. Do dish and directv programing differ substantially? This is much better than $60 with comcast for only about 70 channels. Does Dish Network have partnerships for Internet service? Verizon, Yahoo DSL, and other high speed internet is not availiable in my area because of the comcast monopoly; just outrageous. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
