So they gave no reason why?

i think JJ said something abt laying off, not from lack of work, i think it was downsizing. for some reason that's what comes to my head.

But I just can't understand why he had to lose his job once Florida returned. He was all successful in season 5 and soon as she returned he gets laid off-lol

The Florida Curse...LOL
dumb writers. they expected the audience to accept the family being "poor" again. which was stupid, i believe. I would have loved to see them save some money, do some different things on the show...like you said Solomon, they even went back to eating oatmeal again, when in the season before there were references made to pancakes, etc.

Exactly, the show should have just picked up where it left off in Season 5.

That was a major downfall of the show. I guess after awhile, the audience got too depressed with them constantly being poor.

I think if James was still around, they would've stayed poor the entire show.

That's true, or he would have finally gotten a great paying job to move them out of the projects

You know ultimately, the writers would've never let him keep that job. They didn't want to see success, they wanted to see the struggle.

Obviously...anytime anything good came their way, somehow the balloon burst. I mean, how bad do you have to have it before you just take a chance at something for the benefit of something better for your family?
