I haven't seen anything about this yet so my apologies if this has been discussed before but what are everyone's thoughts on the interview "Out of the Bottle" on the season one DVD set of "I Dream of Jeannie". Any particular scenes, words you didn't like or did you enjoy watching Barbara, Larry and Bill conversing with each other? I liked it alot and - to add to the aww effect - how Barbara and Larry used to hold hands and look at each other. Very touching.

I think what blew me away more than anything was the fact that Bill Daily had never even SEEN the pilot episode. He said that in the interview and he said it during the commentary over the Pilot episode. I guess it never even occurred to me that someone would spend 5 years of their life doing a show 40 years ago and not have caught ALL the episodes of 139 at one time or another.

If you watched the March talk shows that Barbara and Larry appeared on, promoting the DVDs, they came in to all of them holding hands. I think it's part of their chemistry together....and yes, awwwww went through my mind on all of those.

Yes, exactly my thought, Donna. How come that Bill has never seen the pilot, he sure seemed to enjoy doing the audio commentary though. Barbara so it seems still knows a lot about her Jeannie days. Just curious, maybe you know TV Knowledge Fan ;), has Barbara ever regretted doing or talking about Jeannie, or Bill maybe? I'd love to see more audio commentaries on future releases but I really think that Sony should get those three to watch the episode first ;)...maybe they could also share more inside info with us.

Donna, I didn't get to see the shows when Barbara and Larry were on being in Germany but I saw clips fans had put online so thanks to them I was able to reproduce what you'd just said and I think it's good that they walked in holding hands or looking at each other that way, makes it much more fun for fans to watch. It's as if they're giving something back to the fans that way.

it is not so uncommon for actors not to see their own work.

i have watched interviews with stars who often refuse to watch their own performances. The fact that Bill never saw the pilot episode isn't so shocking - at least to me it isn't.

The part that shocked me the most was how many times Bill told Barbara and Larry how beautiful they were.

Yes that was too funny...after the third or fourth time I was like yes Bill we all know it  but well he talked a lot just like Barbara but Larry was kind of quiet don't you think? I would have thought with them both being in that episode most of the time they would ramble all the time...obviously not :happyface

considering Larry's voice doesn't sound so good anymore he probably didn't say much for that reason. if this was done say 20 or 30 years ago they probably might have more to say. at their age, they probably don't remember all the funny things that took place when they filmed it. All they mentioned was that they remember it was very cold.
