you were informed that you will be laid off on the 30th of June and it's june 22nd? Would you still work those remaining days? Tomorrow the staff finds out who is laid off and who is not and I made a decision to leave and not return after the 22nd. What's the point? How many would stay?

Are you getting paid for those days between teh 22nd and the 30th, like is it Salary? If so, then no, I wouldn't show up. If it was an hourly paid job, then I would go to get the money, but if I had an opportunity to go to a job interview I would not hesitate calling in.

Well,
Unless you don't need the money, which it would be wise to save up because you don't how long it might be until you find another job. You should go ahead and finish the month.

The fact that the current pay period ends tomorrow, i really don't expect them to say june 30th. Friday is a new pay period which runs into july 8th. But all I can do is see what happens tomorrow at 11am

 well, of course you would get paid...why then would anyone stay? the point is whether one has prospects elsewhere, whether they can receive unemployment insurance and live on that until they have something come along; do you have money saved up just in case, etc.
