Well, it took me about four or five days, but I'm finally calm enough to post in this thread. I just needed a little time to get over my favorite team losing 4 games straight, three of which they probably should have won. :( Anyway, I was quoted as saying at the beginning of the year when the Heat was 10-11, "that they had no chance of winning the title", but now I have to eat those words. The Heat performed above and beyond what I thought they ever could, so as much as I dislike them, and as much as it pains me to say this, Congratulations to the Miami Heat, on being the new NBA World Champions!!! It's killing me to say this, but right now, you truly are the best team in the land!!!

I think the only thing about this whole thing that makes me happy, is that Gary Payton and Alonzo Mourning finally got their rings. With all that Alonzo has been through with all his serious health problems over the years, and for him to just come back from that is remarkable in of itself, but to come back and play as well as he did, and help his team win the title like that, is just beyond amazing. So a very very special congratulations to Alonzo Mourning!!! You're the man Alonzo!!!!!! :clap

I thought he did a great job during the regular season and throughout the playoffs, but yeah, he totally blew it in the Finals. There's no excuse whatsoever for what happened to the Mavs in those last four games!!
