1.5%?! Terrible...too bad they won't release the rest of the seasons anymore due to very poor sales, here is the link

80s Trivia... nice to see you on here too! I'm from InThe00s.

Okay back to business... I hate the way they've used % as their data. That means nothing to any of us!!!

True but it is still poor sales preventing them releasing the rest of the seasons

It wasn't 1.5% of the units, it was 1.5% of what Seinfeld sold. I don't know why the writer of the article is comparing WTB? to Seinfeld. Nobody is expecting it to sell better than Seinfeld, and if WTB? got half the marketing and promotion of Seinfeld, I'm sure it would've sold much better. Sony did this to themselves.

That's horrible news.

i have nothing to say about this except a bunch of cus words so im just gonna keep quiet and say this instead thats really bad news and sony should work more to advirtize and they should give it another shot and add better special feaures.

Maybe they should let Shout! Factory release the rest of the series since I believe that they are owned by Sony. If Shout! can release other lesser known shows and still make a profit surely they can do the same with Boss?.

Also, the 2nd Season of Who's The Boss was like the breakout season for the show itself.

I agree its completely stupid to compare it to Seinfeld- which recieved a lot of publicity and had loads of special features. I really thought they would carry on releasing the seasons but clearly Sony just don't want to give it a second chance.

The Season 1 box set is so freaking expensive ($35) compared to what other shows are selling for.

Growing Pains - $19
The Facts of Life - $25

That could be the reason for such low sales.

It's realy too bad. If WTB? is currently available to you, I'd recommend recording it, as broadcast syndication runs out in the spring, future DVD releases don't seem likely and there's very little chance of any cable networks picking it up.

The price is why I haven't bought it. And I LOVE the show. Yet I did buy Growing Pains and The Facts of Life ...

We could all sign the petition. Just go here:

http://www.petitiononline.com/wtbdvd/petition.html

and sign it. Hopefully something can be done to show how much we want seasons 2-8 on DVD.

You could also email sony or columbia/tri star, or call the number on the back of the first season DVD, because we need to stress that we want these seasons on DVD.

i heard theres uncut DVDs of seasons 2-8 on Ebay (not from N@N or anything). i dont know if its true or not, but there's a thread about it on WTBR and a lot of people from there are getting them.

but comparing it to seinfield's releases is pretty dumb..first of all, WTB got NO promotion while seinfield got tons. plus, WTB is an older and admittley less popular show then Seinfield, of course it's not going to bring in huge sales.

I couldn't find any thread on WTB?R about uncut DVDs...I know some people were buying DVDs from eBay and I think that someone mistakenly thought they were unedited but it turned out they were from N@N. I would love to find uncut episodes of Who's the Boss.
