Okay who here bought season 1 but not 2 and/or 3? I bought each of them on their first day out. This really ticks me off. What really ticks me off from that article is that they compared the sales of one now abandoned show to that companie's highest seller. Do they honestly think EVERY show they release will have the same numbers as, say "Seinfeld" or "The Simpsons"? They're idiots. And unfortunately, they're in charge of our favorite shows and their fates on DVD. :(

It stinks, because it is a good show.

I never bought any of the seasons because I have seen most all the episodes, on T.V. by now. I think that a lot of people feel this way.

Can't blame the company. If people aren't buying it, why sell more of them? The first three seasons were the best seasons anyway, so enjoy them. If you don't have to witness Eric slowly turn into a cartoon ******, Matt Lawrence entering the show, and the entire cast turning into parodies of themselves, it's not the end of the world. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of the later episodes. The first 3 seasons really were THE show, the first two in particular. If they had to stop producing the DVD's, I'm glad they at least got the good seasons out there.

I liked the later seasons a lot better then the earlier ones as well. I don't think they should compare sales to the top sellers, cause not all shows are going to do as well. Just cause it doesn't sell as much as other shows doesn't mean there aren't alot of people who really like the show and want the later seasons on DVD.

Seasons 4-7 are my absolute favorites, I'd rather have those than any of them :(

Instead of pleasing the people who did not buy the DVDs, why not please the people who did buy them. You know, the actual customers! They need some better nobus features. I mean the third season set was way down from season two in sales. Could it be because the bonus features in the season three set sucked? I think so. I mean if most of the fans are fine with having chopped up, taped episodes from Disney or ABC Family then you have to have some great bonus features to make people want to buy it. I'd buy all sets even if they were bare-bones sets. Just because I love the show and want them all uncut, commercial free and also channel bug-free.

I'll hold out hope that one day they will eventually release season four. And if they do that, I'll request that everybody buys 2 copies. I know you're not all made of money but it might be the only way to get the whole series out.

Maybe we should get some kind of petition or request for Disney to do something. To give it to some other company who can release it. Any ideas?

Yea I just read it on Tvshowsdvd.com when I got back for a week. That is one of my favorite seasons along with 5 and 7. I only have seasons 2-3. Guess I will look for it on Ebay or something.

I've hated Disney since they moved Boy meets World into an Early morning time. Disney isnt the same when I was little thats for sure.

This is terrible news since I have been considering getting Boy Meets World on DVD. Though I have to say that I think the first three seasons are the best, so at least those are out there to buy.

I didn't buy BMW because I have to chill with spending but maybe when my birthday comes up in November and Christmas in December maybe s1-s3 of BMW will still be avalible for buying and somebody can get them for me.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but if you look on the tvshowsondvd.com, and click to see how many season sets are available of Boy Meets World, Season 4 is still listed with TBA (to be announced). Maybe if we all buy the sets, (if you already have them, you can give them as gifts), we may still be able to save it. Maybe, since the announcement wasn't directly from disney, but from a trade magazine, there may still be hope. Even if the chances are slim, maybe it's a possibility. And be sure that we all mark that we want them to be released.
Just a little hope.

Trust me when my birthday comes up I will ask somebody to get them for me.

And that's why we aren't getting the remaining seasons! If you guys had purchased all 3 seasons, we'd likely have Season 4 in our hands now, with Season 5 right around the corner.. :(

Guys, its straight up a logical reason for them not making Season 4.

NO SALES!!!!

I mean c'mon, you guys are VERY lucky to have three seasons even. I mean look at Growing Pains or Whos the Boss, they were way way way more BIG and more popular then Boy Meets World and they arent doing the whole series run.

Besides, season 4 will still 90 percent sure be released. They are just wating for more people to buy season 3 so they know that they will have atleast "OK" sales when bringing Season 4 to the table.

They only put it on hold due to season 3 sales, i mean once they get better, they will bring more out. So tell friends to buy buy buy.

Indeed. With the holidays right around the corner we all have a great opportunity to buy the first 3 seasons as Christmas gifts for friends and family. Believe me, every sale counts and could go a long way in getting Buena Vista/Disney to have a change of heart,.

One more thing; I would take anything in that Trade Magazine article with a grain of salt. Notice Airwolf is sited as one of the shows given the shaft. Well, take a look at this (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6428)! Need I say more?

Now I'm not trying to get your hopes up. It's unlikely Buena Vista will turn right around and announce(or should that be re-announce?) 'Boy Meets World - The Complete Fourth Season' tomorrow. But I don't think anything at this point is set in stone.

yes, allwe have to do is continue to urge people to buy seasons 1-3, because if they sell a lot of sets since the article was posted, they will reannounce season 4 because of sales becoming better and better.

While I can totally understand the company's decision, I was very disappointed to hear this too. I have a come and go obsession with BMW, and when I got seasons 1-3 on DVD I watched them non-stop for about a week

I enjoyed the later seasons much more than the earlier ones. I felt the jokes were funnier and it was a lot more entertaining.

And yeah I agree with whoever said the bonus features on the third DVD set sucked. I absolutely loved the commentaries that were on the first and second seasons. I learned a lot more about the show than I knew before and it was cool to hear how the actors felt about things.

Well, thank goodness for Disney and ABC Family then. I agree that the first three seasons were better anyway. Besides, we already got the fourth season ep "Hair Today, Goon Tomorrow" as a bonus feature on the season one set, so I guess we can't complain there. :)

I dunno. 1 episode out of 22 doesn't really cut it for me...

Possible great news!

Fans of Boy Meets World have been wondering when the fourth season of the show will be released, especially since Lionsgate made a deal to acquire a number of shows from ABC back in August, 2008, including Boy Meets World. Well, the end may be in sight, as fans emailing Lionsgate have been getting the following email:

Hello

The next season is currently scheduled to release fall of 2010.

Thank you
LionsGateShop Customer Service

Keep in mind this release hasn't been announced, and may change. This certainly isn't an announcement for the title, and we'll bring you more information if/when that occurs. Also bear in mind that the above is ALL the information we presently have; we have no knowledge if there are plans to re-release the first three seasons (which were released in 2004-05 by ABC/Disney, but are currently discontinued). Thanks to Jerry, just one of our readers who forwarded us the above email.
