I've been looking at the general photo gallery and my own photos, and I realize that the amount of space avaliable is no longer limited. Does this mean the photo gallery is running out of space?

I'm not sure I know what you mean. There has never been a limit as far as I know. The photo galleries only use about 1.8GB. There is about 20GB of free space left on the server.
