Oy vey, the weather is pretty miserable here today. As of 5:09 pm, it's 100 degrees. I just walked up to the store, and since I wear a jacket in this weather because of my sensitive skin, I felt like I was going to die. Yesterday was even worsE though. We reached a new all time high for June, hitting 102 degrees. And even worse yet, there was a full moon, and people were acting really strange. Definitely wasn't a good night to be out on the streets. LOL!!

Bad storm about 8pm. Tons of lightning and torrential rain. Rest of the day was warm and humid. Had 6 inches of rain Friday-Sunday(overwhelming majority on Friday and Saturday), so our drought is over for now. Drier for the rest of the week with temperatures near normal.

Very nice and hot the last few days in Southern California but recently become quite humid to say the least. There are showers off the coast of California and warm moisture is pulling up from the Southern part, so, looks like a slight chance for a shower inland but mostly will occur in the mountains and deserts. Should be hot and dry by the weekend.

Yeah, I did too. Unless muggy is not as bad as humid. I don't know or maybe they get tired of using humid all the time so they throw in muggy a few times to give us a variety. :)

I had to do carts the other day, I had to move about 350 and it took me about an hour. I was outside in the heat when it was 91 degrees here in Virginia. We are known for our high humidity here also, doing carts is hard work in any weather, but the heat is no fun.

They said on the news that the 119 degree reading at Woodland Hills, which is in the southwestern part of the San Fernando Valley and about 8 miles away from where I live, was the highest temperature ever recorded in Los Angeles County.

95 degrees right now. It made it to 104 over the weekend, so it actually feels pretty good right now.

To sum it up in one word, 'HOT!' There was a bit of thunderstorm activity in the Los Angeles area on Sunday. The storms broke from a pattern over the mountains and deserts of the Southland allowing warm, moist tropical air circulating around that area.

Continued fair, sunny skies and hot, yes, but reports indicate a cooling trend may be heading later this week. Highs in the '90s and above. :eek:

Hey, what about the ****ing people in the Midwest who has been getting zapped with the ****ing heat wave ALL SUMMER LONG??? Screw the humidity factor on the East Coast. It's been FAR WORSE, temperatures-wise, here in the Midwest. Especially North and South Dakota.

Very rainy! We've finally had heavy downpours of rain to make our average yearly temps! That's great!

But....our rain is usually unpredictable. It can be TOTALLY hot, then you see this gray cloud forming over, then it rains TONS, and then those clouds leave, and then the sun comes out drying out the rain. That's usually how our rains are like.

We're FINALLY out of this ridiculous 3-month-long heat wave here! It was 112 on Sunday... 87 yesterday (man, that was so nice) and it is 79 right now. It is SOOOOOOOO much better now, because it's been overcast alllllllllll day :) No hot, blazing sun to continue to fry the grass further. I know it got up to at least 85 today. We're FINALLY out of this ridiculous 3-month-long heat wave here! It was 112 on Sunday... 87 yesterday (man, that was so nice) and it is 79 right now. It is SOOOOOOOO much better now, because it's been overcast alllllllllll day :) No hot, blazing sun to continue to fry the grass further. I know it got up to at least 85 today. We're FINALLY getting some MUCH-NEEDED rain, thank god...I'm just glad about it being cooler outside now. :)

It has been one of the worst heat waves New York has ever had...totally sick and disgusting. People are dropping dead of heat strokes and I'm about ready to pack my bags for Antarctica.

God, I feel for all of you. Our heatwave finally went away...it's gone over to the midwest. It is still very warm, but at least not BROILING.

It's really bad. Queens has lost all power for days now.

You're lucky your heatwave has passed. I'm in AC and I have a fan on, but I'm still sweating like crazy.

It's cooling down a bit and I'm actually moderately comfortable (just a little hot from sitting near this computer, but not unbearably) :)

Yesterday was the first day it was only 85 degrees here. It has been opressivley hot here for the last week. With the heat index up to 115 degrees!:eek:

There were early morning showers here...right now it's 85 degrees. Beautiful day. Today I bought a fan (I finally found fans in the stores!!!)...even though the heatwave is over (I hope) I am ready for the next one!
