For some unknown reason my computer won't play DVD's now. I tried reinstalling the media player and it doesn't get it to work. I tried using 'Real Player' and I get the message of no disc in drive 'E'. It shows 'E' only as a cd drive and not as a dvd drive anymore. What do I do? HELP!:o

***It also shows under 'My Computer'- 'Properties'- Used Space 0 bytes, Free Space - 0 bytes.

I have a problem too with playing dvd's on my computer. I can't anymore.
I used to be able to watch them but I think ever since my brother made
certain adjustments to my system; now I can't. I get an error message saying that I don't have a dvd decoder installed in my system.

As for your problem; I wish that I could help you but I can't.
Good Luck with finding someone to resolve it; I know it's frustrating.

I believe you can go to MS and download some DVD decoders

I just had a chat with the tech support of Emachines and here's what they told me to do. The best part is that IT WORKS AGAIN!!!

Restore computer in SAFE MODE:
Restart- Press F8 for safe mode- enter-Administrator- Safe mode- Start- All programs- Accesoreies- System Tools- Restore to earlier date.

Hope this helps someone!
