How about a jokes board where people can post jokes? Nothing obscene or anything bad. Just a place to post light-hearted funny jokes.

why not just have a JOKES thread stickied at the top of the main ChitChat forum?

Honestly, I think a whole sub forum for jokes is a waste of space. That's just my opinion.

I think a single dedicated thread would be plenty.

If we have a joke board , it will just clutter up the boards like the game board does.

Well for one thing the random board's are used for just chatting, period and their are usually only 3 or 4 of them going at a time. Just look at the game board and you will see sometimes 15 to 20 threads cluttering up the boards all at once. That's all we need is another 15 to 20 joke threads.

TJ and I have briefly discussed this. I also think it's a good idea to have a stickied joke thread on Chit Chat. There seems to be a lot of jokes lately, so having them in one thread would be convenient for readers, and alleviate clutter.

random posts really doesnt describe the point of that board. it should be changed to "Community Chatting" or something. the point of it is for members to talk to their friends...as if it was a chat room, only different and not as fast-paced.

The thing is people who don't go to the random boards don't understand what it is and then they make comments like that. I remember a few years ago ,their would be a few nights I would be up all night over there chatting. It probaby should be changed to The Chat Room. :lol: I have nothing against jokes but you really can tell them all in one thread. All the replies in that thread will probably be :lol: if its any good.

I think we should change the name of The Random board to Community Threads. "Random" is very misleading and lets people think that they can post any thread in there. The random thread is for COMMUNITY THREADS ONLY. Making this change will decrease the number of moved threads to chit chat.

I also propose that we have a new graphic at the top. I have created one that I think would be appropriate. I have posted it below :wave:

why was this merged with the CC jokes thread? they have nothing to do with each other....

Only the last post was merged in, the rest was already here. The thread had long ago turned to discussion of the random board, hence it just made sense to keep it all together.
