I found out a few weeks ago that Bob Newhart will be performing live in a town not too far from where I live. The performing arts center just opened ticket sales for this coming season, so I called and got GREAT seats for the show.

Now I'm wondering - has anyone here seen him perform live in person?

I asked if there was a Meet-and-Greet scheduled. At this early date (June, and he's not here until January), the answer was "no". But they told me that often times Meet-and-Greets aren't scheduled until the last few weeks before the performance, so I should call back early in January.

I'm so excited - and my husband is really looking forward to this one, too!

wow, when i first glanced at that thread title, i thought that it said "Bob performing in prison", which of course led me to my next thought:

just who do I have to KILL to see Bob do his act live?

He did read some song lyrics aloud in that episode, didn't he? I wouldn't call it a performance, though.

Anyway... I haven't seen him in person, but then I don't get out much.

I haven't; but when my parents went to my fathers high school reunion back in 1993; they saw him. He was the guest speaker because he went to the same high school in Chicago. In fact; he went there at the same time as my father.

Cool stories!! I'm 27 and LOVE Bob Newhart! His shows are so funny without being crass and dirty. I too would welcome the chance to see him live...
