here is a link to a warehouse that sells items that are no longer sold in your grocery store (Frankenberries cereal, Count Chocula, etc. etc.) either because the store doesn't have the room or the demand is not very high. I seen the show UNWRAPPED yesterday on the FOOD NETWORK and there is a place that is owned by a lady who carries products from way back in the days that you no longer see on the store shelves. She carries a lot of items that manufacturers still make. She has all sorts of food items. I was watching the episode and I was struck by how many things I remember as a child. great. not everyone is as lucky as u. some stores don't have the demand to carry such stuff. there are many items on this website that i am sure others will appreciate knowing they can get it...some people are under the impression that certain items are no longer made.

They don't have the s'mores cereal that General Mills used to have in the 80s/early 90s. :mad: I really miss that cereal. :( No, I'm not referring to S'morez by Kellogg. The GM version was WAAAAAAAAAY better. Also, Mario/Zelda cereal, they had that in the 80s. I wouldn't mind having a box of that again.

Here they use to sell Nehi bubble gum flavored soda when I was little back in the late 80's early 90's, Now I can't find that soda anywhere.

It's just strange to hear others talk about being surprised to see a product for sale that I really have only seen one dip in availability in during my lifetime (The timeframe where Surge existed). That's all.

I can get Mello Yello here also, I think that some products you can find in the south and others you can find every easily in the North, all about location. There's a brand of Ice Cream that I can find here that I can't find in Northern states, so I think it all about who made it and where it's sold.

Arnold Brick oven cookes, the orange-flavored ones and the lemon-flavored ones. The company also made whole-weat bread, before whole-wheat bread went mainstream. They had these products back east (NY area) when I was growing up. I don't know if the company is still in existence. I'll have to check out the website. Thanks Irene!

I FOUND CANDY CIGARETTES! A conveinience store I stopped at today had them.

Bought 3 packs. 29 cents apiece. Took two for me, gave one to a friend who was floored to see I'd found some (we'd just been talking about this)

Can't speak for the other one, but Double Cola's still around, it's just harder and harder to find. Coca-cola now handles a lot of distribution work for the Double Cola company, and the one drink Coke seems interested in actually distributing is Ski (for those not from TN or southern KY - pretty much everyone: Ski is the BEST citrus soda ever made, point blank), so while Double Cola's available in some places, it's gradually fading away.

CANDY CIGARETTES. WHICH KIND? THE CHALKY ONES? DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE CHOCOLATE ONES? I THINK THEY WERE LONGER, AND IN A BROWN BOX.

ALSO, I USED TO GET THE BUBBLE GUM CIGARETTES. YOU COULD BLOW ON THE GUM WHILE IT'S STILL IN ITS WRAPPER, AND THIS WHITE POWERED SUGAR CAME OUT, APPEARING AS SMOKE. NO WONDER WHY SO MANYKIDS TURNED TO THE REAL THING:lol:
