Hello everyone,
I work for a non-profit organization that advocates for adults and children with developmental delays and in my search for episodes of game shows (especially The Price Is Right) I stumbled across this forum. It seems that many of our clients love to watch game shows and I am actively searching for some on DVD that they could watch at their day programs.
I don't really have anything to trade because all my DVDs are retail versions so I was wondering how someone would get started in this? Actually I have an audio CD of a Bob Dylan/Van Morrison concert that I acquired from a guy in Finland for the cost of shipping if anyone was interested in trading for that.
Thanks for your time,
DM

getting started is quite easy
a few things
1. some people WILL TRADE copies of retail items, this site DOES NOT allow such postings, BUT people will do so, u can always just list your items u have and NOT list retail beside them and some might swap
2. some traders on here will gladly sell to you, again, this site DOES NOT allow such postings, but u can always email direct and inquire from people OFF THE BOARD
3. sites such as ebay, yahoo, ioffer etc are good places to buy sets to get started, u can find some dirt cheap deals and then trade those to build it up
4. make your own sets, check your local stations to see what shows are airing and then tape them, TIVO is great for that
a lot of local stations across the country are showing shows like, Patty Duke, Facts of Life, Bernie Mac, etc, etc, etc, that you can make a home made set of with ease
5. some traders (not me) will trade u for BLANK DISCS, IE u sent them 100 blank discs, they send u a set of 25 discs of a show or such
6. FAN CLUB SITES--- some fan sites such as THE JACK BENNY SHOW site have fans who have tons of episodes on vhs, u can get some stuff from sites like those
good luck in getting started!

do u remember the 1980s cable tv series called THE CANADIAN CONSPIRACY?
a satire about how canada was our mortal enemy and it had the likes of William Shatner and all?
hilarious psuedo-documentary!

if you live in CANADA u can get all sorts of cool shows that are no longer aired here in the US
lots of classic sitcoms and action shows that we havent aired in years but might be showing up there, so check your tv guide and cable directory!

Thought I read somewhere we had a quota on the number of Canadians allowed on the sitcom board.
