Did anybody else see this? I love this show!

so much pressure! when they had to go in the dumpster to dig up all the food they wasted, i felt so bad for them. :(

This show is off the charts good. My question though, is that a real restaurant? I mean I know for the night it was, but where do they find the customers? Do you see what I'm saying? He shuts down the kitchen without serving the customers. A real restaurant wouldn't do that. Do they pay for their meal or were they invited.

I think they are invited. It's obviously a very expensive restaurant.

That one chef is super hot. I forget her name, but she is a bit ditzy.

I love it.... Gordon Ramsey is such a nightmare, I'm surprised he hasn't been murdered by now!!! :lol:

June 29, 2005 -- THE white hot restaurant on Fox's hit, "Hell's Kitchen" isn't a real restaurant.

In fact, the dining room used to be a newsroom. Producers created the eatery from scratch in a Hollywood building that until three years ago housed Los Angeles' UPN station, KCOP.

"It was abandoned and pretty run down," "Hell's Kitchen" executive producer Arthur Smith told The Post. "No one was using it but it had good bones, high ceilings and an ample amount of room."

And a wide unique space was exactly what the show's producers needed to build the restaurant's two kitchens.

On the Fox reality show, wannabe restaurateurs are whipped into shape by Gordon Ramsay, the world-famous chef known as much for his hair-trigger temper and insults as for his renowned restaurants.

As it turned out, the former TV studio worked out perfectly and gave the producers an opportunity to install the show's 75 hidden cameras as they converted the TV station into a 7,000 square-foot restaurant during a hell-on-Earth three-week construction schedule.

"For all intents and purposes, we built a restaurant in the middle of Hollywood," says Smith. "We did mention it at the beginning of the show, but we don't talk about how it was once an old television studio and how fast the build was because to me that's just TV stuff and not important to the drama of the show."

Producers also had to build a living space for the contestants behind the restaurant.

"As far as the contestants, I'm sure to this day most of them don't know that it was once an old television station," Smith says.

I love this show. Tonight was awesome because there was finally conflict on the women's team, and the men have a leader! Sara sabotaging was terrible, but at the same time, a great strategic move. I see her and Heather emerging as the two strongest people.

I like this show to, i like Kieth and Maribel the best Garret and Heather have bad attitudes, oh yeah Rachel's cool to.

Heather, I think is the all around best chef, but she is such a kiss ass.

Did anyone watch last night's ep? Heather really stepped up in competition. Virginia however...well, she needs to stay away from sharp objects. She's getting a little scary :eek:
