Brieannas21 06-13-2006, 02:39 PM I don't like grits, never have. Some people eat fish and grits, or red eye gravy ham and grits, cheese grits, shrimp and grits. So gravy and grits don't sound that crazy to me, but I live in the south and we eat a lot of things that others might think is gross.

You people from up north don't know what you're missing. Then again, there are some from up north who know what good eating is. I can't believe you've never heard of grits and gravy. A Black person not knowing that is just plain unbelieveable, no matter where you live. :wave:

Exactly, my grandma on my dad side said she use to make it when they first moved to the south because it was a cheap breakfast that you can get full off of. I myself hate grits, so I don't eat them.
So it's just a southern thing
