I vaguely remember it as a kid. It was a sitcom set in the wild west. I only remember that I liked it alot.

Around what year do you think it was on (70s? 80s?)

Any actor, character or situation you remember?

Was it "Best of the West"?

From 1981 starring Joel Higgins who played the dad on Silver Spoons.

Civil War vet Sam Best picks up and moves out West to Copper Creek with his wife Elvira and son Daniel. Best, who is not handy with a gun and would rather talk than fight, then becomes the town marshal, much to the chagrin of shady town boss Parker Tillman and his dumb sidekick Frog.

It had to be from the early 80's. The only actor I remember was that guy who was in the original Batman movie. He was the right hand man of the Joker. I wish I knew his name, but he usually plays mopey characters.

I loved Best Of The West. It had a great theme song too.

You're thinking of veteran character actor Tracey Walter.

I think the real funny thing is sometimes you say you have the show before the person says they are looking for it-lol You have to remember Rob this is a Discussion Board not a Tape Trading Board.
